Be safe on your way down. In times of urgency, many people want to speed to their destination. Keep it safe, and make it there in one piece.
I'm in Jax if you need anything.

The city of West Palm Beach opened the city parking garages for free parking so people could protect their cars only to have a local Hyundai dealership take up 400 spots parking new cars there. Real scumbag move if you ask me.

Make sure before heading into the keys that the bridges weren't damaged cutting them off from the mainland.

Not sure what Navy relief convoy means but assuming I don't get my own shit pushed in here in Orlando I'm happy to help out where I can.

Still the calm before the storm where I am. Actually looks kinda like a nice Saturday.

    Yup!
My thoughts as well, I came to that same conclusion a few days ago. It may have to come to a crawl or stop to make that turn, Katrina couldn't do it and don't think this one will unless it slows down. The east coast is looking good though.

My prayers for your family, there's no where to go or do but wait and hope all will be good. people in the keys know what they're up against though, most have been there & done that so lets hope for the best.
Be sure to take some flat tire repair kits, lots of roofing nails and debris everywhere and few if any shops open for repairs, few tow trucks too.
I would take a couple spare tires and plenty plugs, better to have and not need than to need and not have.

    Best of luck to all

Just take the plugs as you may not be able to break the tire down for patches. patches are useless in that situation, you will probably have to use the plugs in the side wall as stuff finds its way there, and you can kiss good tires goodbye. Old set of tires would be ideal to run around there.

    Then you're GTG!
You'll be fine as long as you're prepared
