I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

    Yeah tell me about it.

No I looked at both and I liked no hoops better if I want to later I can just weld one on. I'm not running lights on the top of the bumper so I really don't need it.

I didn't paint it I was going to but I looked at it a little more and it looks fine. And you will only see a little bit of it any way so I'm leaving it as is.

I get the feeling I better bring the walkie talkies since I'm guessing once we hit the dirt that Jerry's going to be in front (wouldn't want to get run over:D). That way if we make it to a spot I know of, I can direct him to make the turn.

:crapstorm: <<< So this is what it'll be like being behind you? I think I'll be at the end of the line, that way the larger pieces are less likely to fly that far back.

Well...I already expect to look like this before too long anyway, so what's a little more on the top?

FYI, I plan to scout out this end of Park Creek to see if the gate's open on Sunday morning before coming down the hill. If it is, we can take the "shortcut" over to MET rather than going down and across the dams.

Hey Steven, most of the forest roads we're hitting look like the one in Jerry's pic above...only muddier in spots (and a couple of deep puddles that some of us can skirt around if we get to the other end), and probably a lot of patches of snow. There are several hills like the one in my previous post on this road we're taking.

I gotta say, I'm really looking forward to Sunday! The only time I really get to play around out there is when it's just my daughter and I. My wife doesn't like the rough road as much, but my daughter's always screaming to me to go faster...especially thru the puddles. She likes a muddy truck (she wants a speedway blue Taco when she gets older). She's going to miss out on this trip, though, because she heads out that day on a school field trip down in Tuolumne (wife's dropping her off while I'm out playing).

So are we going to be hitting any trails or just fire roads?

I'm not aware of any trails up there (at least none that I would count as a "trail" since they all seem like fire roads to me). And any that are classified as "trails" are so overgrown that many probably don't want the scratches down their sides.

But if this road isn't challenging enough, we can head higher (deeper snow).

Since you're riding with Jerry and saving all that gas money, aren't you bringing lunch for all of us?:D I could have sworn someone mentioned lunch in an earlier post...It seems to be missing from the "essentials" list.

I was planning on bringing a chair and something to eat/drink. Maybe we'll end up down at one of the campsites on the creek (I have one in mind if we make it that far...nice steep hill). Water's a little cold this time of year, but everyone's welcome to go swimming.

Well I'm converting from a temp to a permanent employee at work starting next monday and we technically aren't supposed to work the weekend so I'm hoping I can do some maintenance on the truck Saturday so that I will be able to drive Sunday. I'll let you guys know.
