lmao some dumbass really bought that? You could buy a used v8 raptor with half that mileage and put 10k worth of shit on it for the same price.

I would normally agree with the "take off the mods and sell it" for the best price returns. but since "overlanding" is becoming a influencer thing now, you might be able to find a well off person who just wants the truck ready to go so he can "overland" in it for his patreon and followers. i say list it for as high as you feel like and let it sit for a month and see what happens. wouldnt hurt and is free.

    Like, so many.
If you're not in a rush, list it high and see what happens. You may get lucky. So many folks are getting into overlanding right now and many of those have more money/enthusiasm than sense.

    Stock, 4WD, Access Cab, White,
1.) Sell the wife's ride. Live in the Tacoma until you get the trailer, then move in there. It'll take a while for her to settle down.
2.) Advertise as is for $35k, be ready to accept lower offers.
3.) Return to stock, advertise for $34k, part out the mod pieces.

Agree entirely. I was making a similar point in why a truck would be going for $10k over book, it’s being sold by a dealer with the “perks” the dealer provides.

The m235 is going to hold its value quite well for a German car assuming its the 6 speed? If it is the auto I would probably part with that before depreciation gets too much more excessive. BMW is pulling the plug on manuals over these next few years.

Good point, I'm definitely thinking upper end on the spectrum. That being said OP should definitely try asking an obscene amount bc someone somewhere might bite at a high price given the current hype

I would think anyone who has enough cash lying around to purchase what your vehicle is worth would be willing to purchase non locally as well. So with the quality of the build you can easily draw attention from anywhere in the states. Could help with actually parting with it for a reasonable amount.

i think you are dreaming and/or making stuff up... advertised used price is never what it sells for, and even if you know the sucker that bought that tunda and can confirm the sale price, it's certainly not the norm. if a buyer has money to burn, he'd most likely buy brand new and toss his own money at mods and still be under 60k. i sure would, and i bet most reasonable buyers would. but there are suckers born every minute, and it's precisely why people often get slammed at dealerships. on used car 10k profit deals, buyer beware...

I would say realistically $37-38k would be good. You have some expensive mods but they are considered a negative to most buys rather than a positive.

The most over-used phrases in the "For Sale by Individual" automotive world:
    - "Easy Fix"
    - "Price is firm because that is what I owe on it."
    - "No low-ballers, I know what it's worth".

    It is just money...
Echoing others, it is certainly worth what someone will pay.

Post it high and keep your fingers crossed or start parting if you need more.

lol I posted the screenshot, I'd pm'd the guy and confirmed already. I'm not saying he's likely to get 50k but should absolutely list it 45-55k and see if a sucker replies. There's buyers who open 150k credit lines at shops and ask them to build them a rig
