Ok so I started my day out like any other day, woke up went to work and got on TM.com like I always do. I saw a couple of thread on Scan Gauge II. I haven't ever heard of it so I posted a thread to ask what it was about and if people liked the etc... Well after a few messages, I got interested and started to look into them... It just so happens that someone posted responce to my thread that JCWHITNEY is having a sale that ends today on SCAN GAUGE II... So I bought it... Kind of influenced by TM but everyone on here seems to like it so I figured I would as well. This site seems to influence people to purchase new items for there truck. What are some of the other purchased items your been influenced to purchase???

Trust me. This is an addiction to everyone on here. Look @ my truck.. Thanks to you TW / TN / CT / TTORA / XR-U. All are great sites and offer excellent info and pictures of awesome TACOS. I was inspired by a lot of other TACOS.

When I first got my stock Brand New TRD Off-Road. I told myself I wouldn't add $$$ into it as I loved it as is.
A LOT OF $$$$$ WELL SPENT!

^^^^ You'll want to listen to him. Mike's truck is the best running Tacoma on the eastern shore.

haha... I know... I guess I am influenced easily... Especially when it comes to my truck!!!!

I should put a lift on but I am worried about reliability afterwards. I rely on my truck to much for me to be having problems because I put a lift on it, and I really cannot afford for anything to go wrong!

Same here. I would looooove to trick it out. I just keep her stock so I can get 300,000 reliable miles out of her. Thats the only thing thats stops me. The fear of shortening the lifespan.

^ So the F what if you're ONLY going to get 250,000 out of her after modding it. You'd love it more after modding the TACO.

I know. I just cant justify it for what I do. Its a daily driver for work. I just want it the way toyota designed it to give it the best chance at longevity.

I would love to but being broke down on the side of the road isn't somewhere I wanna be in 5 years. It has to last me atleast that much longer with no problems. My truck isn't just my daily driver it pulls my boat down to the lake almost every weekend in the summer and my quads down to the farm about every other weekend in the fall. Reliability is the main reason I got this truck!

    - Billstein 5100's all around with OME 885 coil springs. - K&N Air Filter - HID Headlights & Fogs - Kenwood Stereo & Infinity Speakers - CB Radio, - Fog On Anytime mod - Anti Tailgate theft mod. More comming...
I bought the Cobra CB radio a while back and have never used it. I know i'd use it if i went out on some of the trail rides but i need to put some off road tires on the truck. I have some shitty street tires that are absolutely no good for off road.

I understand your guys point. However a lot of these mods out there will NOT effect your TACO's longevity,

    1. Suspension 5100 upgrade?
    2. Tires
    3. Radio
    4. BHLM
    5. Wet Okoles

    etc.etc

You can still MOD the heck out of the Taco with no impact to the reliabilty

    ^Nope.

They'll actually improve your ride quality. If you buy them and set them @ factory specs. You're golden. I'm sure more people will chime in. If you don't want to stress it, don't raise the front 5100's and keep them stock.

So I could just install them on the back and leave the front stock? Wont that make it unlevel (sit higher in the back)?
