I thought i'd get smoked after taking a 4-5 year hiatus. But no. I still win or am top 3 every time. haha it is fun.

 

Steam Controller is awesome with the Steam Link. I wouldn't use a controller for anything competitive or even online. However, I enjoy RPGs and with the Link/Controller I can play in bed and play with no issues.

Yeah. I'm more of a casual gamer, and that's why I picked it up. My fiance is eager to try it and see what she thinks. Maybe worth picking up the link to play some of those easy games in the living room.

 

If you can get a wired connection I would recommend it. I was originally going to put the link downstairs but decided on putting it in our bedroom which is 10ft from my PC and wired.

 

Since we all love trucks/offroading. I recommend everyone...and I mean EVERYONE buy SpinTires. The devs gave up on it... However, the community has kept the game alive and it's awesome to play. The base game is simply mudding through Russia, however, you can download new maps and vehicles to use.

Honestly...buy the game. I got it during the Winter Sale for like $12. The person I'm playing with in the clips has no truck/offroading background and drives a Corolla. He loves the game.

Other than SpinTires...the only FPS I play is Overwatch. I'm more of a objective/teamplayer and I'm tired of the same recycled mechanics of CoD/BF.

So SpinTires, Overwatch, FFX HD Remastered are my 3 main ones right now. Diablo 3 and The Division as well.

I also own Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes...seems like a fun party game. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

 

Look for sales. I got a couple giftcards for Christmas and ended up getting the Controller & Link for ~$50+ shipping for like $5 out of pocket to cover the shipping.

 

Every time I'm at the brewery and I get a notification an item goes on sale, I usually end up picking it up.

 

I hear a lot about Overwatch. But can't bring myself to play it. I tried TF2 and i just can't stand the team play thing. No one ever works together enough and i don't play enough to make friends which i guess would help.

I'd rather just run and gun some bitches in COD4 when i wanna play something lol

 

I cleaned out my wishlist for that reason. I would always justify it. When I first started getting back into gaming. My wife found all these small charges from "Steam" on our statement and literally thought I was paying for phone sex or something.

 

I have a better win rate when I solo. However, I have a group of 2-4 who play regularly. We all played CoD but all got tired of the rinse and repeat they release every year.

I'm in the process of making a Pi Emulator Station so I have my HDD full with roms right now. I need to move them to make room to install some recent purchases.
