TW Steam Group and Discord Server!

Same here. Usually weeknight play throughs only happen Wednesday or later.

Sunday I'm streaming from 6-8pm. But that's the only for sure thing I know happening on the weekends.

The past few weeks I haven't been on the PC much.

Work. Gym. Dinner. Relax. Sleep and repeat lol

 

Yeah, I normally pop up between 2230 and 2300 EST most days, I've been doing a lot more flight Sims than anything else though

 

I wish I could be up past 10 on week nights. Usually around 9 I'm wanting to wind down from the evening.

 

I try and pretend I'm a badass and can play all night but once I lay in bed I can't get out...

I'm in the process of getting a better monitor, monitor arm, and angle it in a way that if I really wanted to be American, I could swing the monitor out towards my bed and play while laying down.

 

I'm sure that'll help you play those nightly games.

 

Lol. Im a night owl. I can play till 4 am if im up for it. I can stay up that late no problem.

 

We're wondering if your rig can handle the Discord service

I know i have killer internet though. DL Mirrors edge again last night. Held at 8.2Mb/s the whole time. Was impressive.

 

Mirrors edge was pretty awesome. Forced you to find those non fighting alternatives.

 

And discord, to me, feels like a ventrillo server. In the sense of multiple rooms to chat in, either voice or text. For instance, people playing a game could drop to a certain room to game without being in one large lobby.

 

i really like it. Also one of the prettiest games out there i think. Just fun. Short game but cool. Haven't checked out the sequel yet.

hm...i won't lie..i still don't get it.

Why would you use that instead of just Steam Chat? Or Xfire?

 

Voice quality is said to be better. Plus the ability to have your own community with different channels for different activities/games.

Plus it's free.

I often feel like there are too many options for communities in gaming. Between Xfire, Steam, and Teamspeak i was done with that haha

 

Yeah. I gotcha.

Teamspeak and vent were similar. I remember using it as a hang out spot when I was grinding in mmos. People would pop in and out.

 

Yea we used it because you could do tactical meetings for COD. Was cool. had the maps, could make routes. Place snipers and gunners. Let the runners flush them out.

 

I've honestly never used steam's voice chat feature, only because I heard it was garbage



I just really want to game. But I'll try hanging out discord and see if it works for me.

 

I never minded it. I've used it for Portal and COD when it was just a friend or two. For hardcore stuff i was using xfire though.

Now the ingame chat stuff like that is part of the game usually always sucks. But the dedicated chat stuff never seemed to be bad.

 

I'll see if I get some time this week to do some gaming or giffing. I'll hop on discord so you can holla at cha boi.

 

I need to get it first. Going to be replacing front wheel bearings on my truck. Won't be till Friday that'll i'll be able to get on most likely.
