TW Steam Group and Discord Server!

Discord is convenient and easy to use. My other Non-TW server has chats for only certain games.
Example: SpinTires is a mod-friendly game. In order to get everyone to be able to play together, you all need the same maps. If someone from our community downloads a map, they put the link in the chat so we can all download it and stay on the same page.
If some new nerf/buffs come out for certain characters in Overwatch, we link the website so we can all know the upcoming changes.

 

I've only seen people play OW on twitch. Looks very fast paced. Almost FPS dota kinda thing.

Both titanfall 2 and OW look pretty good in my book. I'm sure both are very different. Just wondered if you played it or if anyone has.

Looks fun though. Maybe a bit too TF2 for me. Not a fan of character with different abilities usually. I like the games where you're basically the same guy but different weapons.

 

The different classes are what hooks me into Overwatch. I've always favored the tanky playstyle. I have two friends who I've played with since I was young and luckily one enjoys being DPS and the other likes support. It works out perfect in Overwatch.

To each their own but I got tired of the same CoD game over and over. I haven't enjoyed CoD since maybe MW2. I own whichever one has Kevin Spacey in it and played the shitty story and never touched multiplayer.

Theres just more variation to Overwatch. There's 5 tanks, 5 healers, etc. You gravitate to the tank style? How much of a tank do you want to be? Super tank? Play Reinhardt, shield and hammer. Damage tank? Play Roadhog, shotgun and a Scorpion (MK) style hook. Mobile Tank? Either D.Va, who has a mech she flies around in. Or Winston, a monkey who is smarter than you that can jump across the map.

You can play OW ranked (Competitive) and climb the leaderboards in seasons. However, people sometimes forget that a good K/D ratio means nothing in this game. It's all about countering the situation you're in. As far as "you need a team to play" mentality, while it does help, I have a higher W/L ratio when I solo queue over when I play with my friends.

I would spend the money to play the original MW though...I just don't want the other shitty new CoD that goes along with it.

With that said, if anyone is on the fence on purchasing OW, I'm always available to play, and while I don't play ranked, I have a lot of friends who do (and are very high) who always gives em the best tips as the season goes on.

I just bough the original COD MW on steam to have it on steam. My disc was too scratched up . I've been playing that online more then anything lately. I agree though, after MW3 it was lame. MW2 online was fun save for the shitty lobby system.

Ive never cared about K/D ratio. Though i think i have a decent one..a touch over 1-1.2 i guess idk. I just like winning too usually have some of the most kills but also higher in deaths haha lately been getting great kill streaks for some reason..

If OW goes on sale maybe i'll grab it.

COD MW was like less then $10 over christmas. And has dedicated servers still! plenty of fun mod servers too.

That's what I'm on 99% of the time. The gaming community I'm part of has a server and I use that.

 

Time to see if I can get back on the FPS bandwagon.

 

I have BF3, BF4, BF1 and a few COD games

The only battlefield game I've played are Vietnam (super fun lan experience), BF2 (solo play though because friends were lame) and BF 2142 puke

I think I lost the discs for those years ago too

The only "new" FPS game I have is really Borderlands 2 & the Pre Sequel.
