Too poor to list anything interesting.
I wanted to pick it up, but the cheap ass in me wanted to wait for the sale.

I saw it's on your wishlist lol.

The game is actually gaining popularity right now with speed runners because of it's unique environment that allows for plenty of exploits. I've linked it but it is spoiler heavy so don't click unless you pretty much know Prey's story line.

I've heard it actually runs faster when it's out away in a box.

Pretty much what this gen of 14/16 nm cards was built for. I won't upgrade my card until I can't play new games maxed out at 1080p at acceptable frame rates on my current card. That hasn't happened... yet.

Personally I still find +120Hz and adaptive synchronization displays a better way to go than 4K for the eyes but in a real world simulation game like a racing game I can see the massive appeal of playing 4K on a 60" screen. Great setup.

BTW why is Doom everything I had hoped Duke Nukem would be? I didn't pick up Doom because I decided to be cheap and wait for a sale, which happened this week, and man it's a fun game to just burn time.

It's the first "old is new" style game that I've played where I'm really happy with how they did it. I mean I only have a couple of hours into Doom but so far it has that same addicting pockets full of weapons and kickass feel that made the original so addicting.

Doom was 67% off this week. Not sure if the sale is over. I'm not sure how many games they were selling at $69.99 Canadian before the sale lol, that's ridiculous on a game that has been out for a year.

Ya they have some decent deals every once in awhile. I still balk at paying $60+++ for a game though, 67% off sounds reasonable.

Yeah, I do it every once in a while on games I really want. Example, I just bought Prey because the preview really seemed to be in my wheel house and it was absolutely worth the money spent. Doom on the other hand, while piles of fun over hours, isn't really unique. It's an apple pie sort of game.

Exactly. This 4k tv is going to be my main monitor for when I eventually get my racing cockpit. It won't be used for anything else except for Asset to Corsa and Pcars.
