That's kinda what I understood. Someone you build a computer and it does...nothing. but can find money. Wtf?

 

I don't much understand it either.
My buddy pushed me into it many years ago and I lost interest in like 3 minutes.

The best I can make of it was kinda like back in the "Seti" days looking for aliens or a cure for cancer...except somehow you get paid for it. Idk.

 

I remember you could join folding teams. Where they used your gpu when you weren't to fold data. So like you could help form like a global super computer to fold data for stuff like cancer or whatever.


But this..doesn't make any sense. I mean I have two old gaming computers. I guess I could set them up to do this but when I looked up how to do it it seemed way to complicated.

From what I looked up though was more complicated. Had to pay to have an account and broker or some shit.

 

Idk. My interest in it is zilch.
I do find it interesting that the 1070 and 1080 cards are being utilized to do mining and that there is a huge shortage of them.

 

I'm not. Gpus are by far the most powerful resource a computer has. If utilized for data stuff and such they whole universe's ahead of any main processor in terms of data crunching.

Is funny they have gotten to that point though haha

Oh payday2.....I’ll never reinstall that shit. I left when they started charging for things they said they’d never charge for.

They destroyed a lot of their fan base with that move. How many DLCs are their now?

 

I think dlc stuff and pay to win basis and things have driven me away from gaming alot.

 

From what I remember. People were getting pissed about the new DLCs every week it seemed. They came out and said only cosmetics will cost money and everything else can be earned. They introduced loot boxes that had guns and attachments but in order to get them you had to be actual keys. Something along those lines.

 

I hate that shit. I bought the fucking game. Let me play ALL of it.

It was a great game. And I paid for maybe another $40 after.

 

The only thing I pay dlc for are car packs and laser scanned tracks for Assetto Corsa. Only because they often give away free dlc throughout the year.
Also, having a track laser scanned isn't cheap. I mean if I have to pay maybe $20 a year for 16 cars, 2 tracks and get 8 cars in a free dlc...i have no issue with that.
