alright I would like to add more tweeters to my system an I would like to put them either in the kick panel or the a-pillar. the only problem is I don't have the skills to make my own nor the time to learn. so my question is, does anyone know where I could buy some pre made.

    Why more tweeters?
Why not add a better set of components or coaxs and either locate the tweeter in the A-pillar, where you will have better imaging from your tweeters, or in the case of the coax, depending on brand/model you can aim them at you.

Yeah I would advise against adding more tweeters. I think it would be best to just replace the stock speakers. You can get a decent tweeter in the stock locations.

sorry... forgot to mention I have upgraded speakers.... I'm looking to make it louder and cant find a place to put more coaxial's or comps. and figure adding some more tweeters would help. am I wrong in this? does anyone have any suggestions on where I could put some more coax or comps.? I already looked into kick panels and im not willing to spend $200 on them nor give up that much leg room. oh and it's a 2007 Tacoma double cab.

I would not put tweeters in the kicks, I would put them in the pillars. Or if you want loud you can run an amp if your not, my cousin has his on an amp and it screams I have the amp for mine but not a high enough amp out put on alt. Good luck! I tried more tweeters, it makes the highs too loud and you wont have a balanced system.

What speakers do you have right now?

My suggestion would be to run a nice set of component speakers and a solid amp. I only run front speakers and I certainly don't have any issues getting loud.

I have a nice set of Memphis comps in the front and the matching coax. in the back being pushed my a Memphis amp with a kenwood head unit. I just got my box in yesterday for my two sundown sd-2 10's that will be pushed by a Memphis 1100 watt amp. it is no doubt loud but I want to make it louder. I would love to put more mids in but I can't figure out where. (that's what I was considering putting in the kicks not just tweeters) so I was going to put some more tweeters in for now and wanted it to look as "stock" as possible.

You could put the tweeters in the A pillar, small mids in the stock tweeter location, and mid/woofers in the stock location towards the bottom of the door.

You sir are a genius! I have never thought of that! Does anybody know where I could buy an A pillar that is made for a tweeter cause I can't make one.

Ha, I don't know about genius. But I'll still take it.

I don't know where to buy a new a pillar piece with a tweeter cutout. However, most car audio places can customize your a pillar for tweeters. Maybe Mr Marv could make some for you? :notsure:

Before you spend a ton of money and hack up your interior....let's ask a few questions.

You say it's not loud enough? What seems to be your limiting factor? Are you running out of volume knob (maxed out) or are your speakers starting to distort before you run out of volume knob?

+1 you can run the tweeters off axis in the a pillars and find a good quality 2-4" midrange and mount it in the factory tweeter location.

id check out cdt audio refurb store. they have some kick ass 2 and 3" midranges that can play from 100hz-20khz. they also have shallow mount 4".

although my vehicle is diff, im running the tweeters as described above, with a 3" midrange in the stock dash location, and a 6.5" midbass in the door. it sounds fantastic.
