Haven't been yet. I've heard it's not all that great.

Hopefully. It just sucks because everyone gets so demotivated and it spreads real badly. I was actually pretty excited to come here.

It's worth checking out. Just to pass the time. And don't let that shit drag you down. Worry about you while you're in school. What happens now can very well set the tone for the rest of your enlistment. It's all what you make it.

What's up with the wind? I've lived in AZ for 10 years and it would never get like this unless it was stormy as hell.

Yeah it is windy. Good luck on Del Mar. I've got three years to go here. It'll be a good time though I'm sure. At least the weekends will be.

You'll be centralized to a fairly large area that can include awesome scenic drives to the middle of nowhere to the most extreme that includes Johnson Valley which is home to The King Of The Hammers.

Did multiple back to back CAX. I did enjoy the all American bbq joint. Hell of a variety from diamond backs to ostrich and anything in between.

Some good advise from the Gunnery sergeant. Do all your required reading, hit he gym and swell up, run and bust out some 285 or better pft scores. If you are not an expert shooter become one. Know your job and do it to the best of your abilities. After you have completed those things start going to meritorious promotion boards. You will only get one to two cracks at it so your ducks have to be in arrow. You are some what isolated at the stumps so make the best use out of it. Use it to move ahead. I did 8 active and 2 in the reserves and walked away as a Staff Sergeant. The lessons that you will learn in the Corp will influence the decisions that you will make for the rest of your life. Stay motivated. Sempe Fi.

I saw that on the forum. They're trying to limit the number of vehicles out there though. Might go out for the day. Probably won't stay the night. It's only 30-45 minutes from me.
