I might have something on the laptop for the haltech tune. Not sure about the cams though. Only the crank for certain.

 

If you can get me a reference position on the crank sensor signal for TDC I should be able to find reference the cam timing.

I went out of town without my laptop. I will have it later, and will share what I can.

 

I always find the positioning just by turning off the fuel injectors in NSP and putting a timing light on it. Adjust the value until it lines up to zero

 

Yea my pressure transducer is at work, I have a reference to where the #1 coil fires but I'm not sure where the true TDC is in the crank signal (The sync notch I'm pretty certain isn't at TDC no 1). I think the coil fires at about 18 degrees BTDC at idle but I'm not 100% on that.

 

Is that for crank signal?

 

Not sure how to interpret that, how are you getting 60 trigger teeth when the 4.0 crank is 36 -2?

Those boxes are grayed out because he picked one GR from the drop-down menu. Look to the right of the drop-down menu. It has the right tooth count and missing tooth count listed there. However the crank angle which is what he's trying to show you isn't a greyed out box so it appears to be 525°. The greyed out boxes are only available if you choose a generic missing tooth trigger and put in the tooth count yourself.

I don't really know anything about fuel tech. I've only done megasquirt and Haltech. But I'd wager you just need to set crank index position to 525°. I'm not sure what that tooth count thing after it is so if that has a zero position that might be the right position initially

 

The tooth count is auto calculated. Once i crank it and dial it in I’ll post the right crank values for the fueltech.

 

I guess what I need to know is what tooth of the crank reluctor to reference as 0 degrees to calculate the cam reluctor rising and falling edge positions.

 

I just do the practial check after setting these things. Turn injectors off and crank with a timing light. I don't think it's worth wasting more time on.
