Looking much good, except one port cracked... my speed shop buddy was able to repair it though.

But one has to be crazy to have a crazy car right?

Man I do not work with my hands normally so this is killing me.

I hope it's crazy enough! This porting is probably going to net me like 20hp lol

That's my mission, to help inspire others and help your project go more smoothly... 1UZ in a minitruck would be otherworldly

Yes I have been quite radio silent on this... I was working on porting the heads and then f***ed up both my hands. They are getting close to being healed now and I've been collecting a few more parts and working on the strategy to most easily fit up for custom fab.

I appreciate the interest and you following along!

I was starting to get worried about you

Hope you didn't hurt yourself too bad. Hand injuries can be tough, you need your hands.

    Looking forward to more updates

Thanks. I will be updating soon. Got more interesting goodies coming.

Speaking of delayed projects, are you SCing that truck yet?

Thanks! Yes - I imagine others were wondering if I'd given up, too. But nope - too far into it now! (sunk cost fallacy in full effect)

The guy I bought motor mounts from might be selling a modified sump that he built for a customer who didn't come through with the money. The bottom sump has to be moved to the very rear of the engine (stock location for 300ZX) and made shallower in the middle to accommodate a higher subframe.

It would save me a lot of headache in custom fab... we'll see what price he comes back with...

I feel just a tiny bit attacked. But, at least I am doing something about the problem engine...

I actually ran the V6 for a little bit yesterday when the temperature warmed up. Runs all right still. I can't hear any additional knock... but it always makes a lot of knock-like noise because of the stiffer valve springs.
