It is important to point out that if you pulled the bed you could probably get a frame shop to pull that for a few hundred bucks. It would then be right and you could go in and weld whatever supports and box the frame as you see fit knowing it is correct. Just because you can find a bush fix does not make it the most cost effective. I stand by the advise I provided. Unless you do not value your time you would most likely be better served having this repaired correctly then reinforcing your frame so it does not happen again but to each his own.

If you’re chopping the frame soon-ish I’d personally take the cheap route of throwing a few washers under the drivers side of the bed to make it aesthetically pleasing. All other options are a fair amount of work that’ll just get chopped off in a few months anyways.

Heck when I replaced my cab mounts with poly ones I doubled up using the old washers to give me 1/2” or so body lift on the drivers side to help with taco lean.

Maybe the OP doesn't have 3 million in equipment, or maybe he just likes doing his own repairs, or maybe just concentrate less on why... I would think a person like yourself with 12 employees, 3 million in equipment, and his own successful shop could think out of the box fairly well but I didn't read anything like that from your posts until around page 7 or so. I would also think a person like yourself would consider how others perceive him online - you know to grow their business further. Idk though, I've never had 3 million in equipment and 12 employees so maybe you don't want more business.

Come to think of it I don't have a clue what your shop fabricates, I mean if your shop fabricates pull start vibrators for sexual pleasure then TW probably isn't your biggest source of income. Oh wait maybe it is, I mean some of these people on TW need power operation of a 10 pound tailgate.

Why is the back getting chopped off? What type of suspension do you plan on installing?

No, that’s too heavy to straighten a Taco bumper. Just use your wife’s purse.

Being a fabricator is not about doing less with more. If my shop does not have the equipment to do something correctly I have to purchase the equipment to do so or outsource it to be done. You will not get ahead throwing caution to the wind. The OP assumed everyone he was talking to here had no experience because we have never attempted to repair a frame in our driveway. Fact is I know enough about this process that it is more cost effective to do the prep work and take it to someone who invested in the equipment and education to do the job the right way.

As for my business interest I will stick with the large corporations I cater to for providing my income not marketing myself to a truck forum but thank you for your concern.
