hey now keep the GF talk in the BS thread!

 

making some adjustment to the sob box and the back of the cab to make it fit.
I'm picking up the bumper this evening, and i still need to get some more copper ends to finish grounding the isolator. just trying to get a solid list of what I need before I make the hour drive into town.

You have the same components and HU I have. I'm very happy with the sound and capabilities, though I did add an amp for the door speakers. I have a smaller powered sub too.

Can't wait to see the finished product of your dual battery setup. That's next on my list of so many things. I'll run the tunes, lights, and winch off the aux. battery and the rest off the starter battery. I still don't know which isolater I'm going with though.

I've had a disc replaced in my neck (c6-c7) after it herniated into my spinal cord (50%+ impacted). Still no feeling in most of my left hand and no lower tricep either. But all works pretty well. I hope you're as lucky with healing from your accidents!

I'm subbed to your build. I want to see that cage and bed installed!

I'm pissed about the sub install, I bought a brand new amp and it doesn't work... It's going back to Amazon wednesday and being replaced.
we put another amplifier in and the sub pounds hard! but that amp isn't strong enough to handle the sub so it over heats in about 30 seconds. But at least we know it's not a wiring problem.

Bumper goes on today with the winch!!

that has to do with the Impedance of the sub..not the HU.

 

amps are generic. Almost all good amps connect with 5v RCA inputs now.

the important part is getting an amp with correct output impedance to match your sub or subs. Wiring them different can change the total load on an amp as well as either a single coil or dual voice coil sub.

are you using the stock deck, or head or whatever it is called? I know nothing about audio. But, i know enough that the stock speakers blow in the tacoma...at least in my opinion. are the speakers still stock with just a sub added or?

that set up will only get you so far if you dont upgrade your alternator. im not sure about the output of the newer taco alternators but i know the old ones only put out like 110 watts or something.
