No, though it might cause your tires to wear more evenly and last longer.

 

Mike this made me think abtou your tire wear. If it is currently uneven among your tires and also across a given tire's tread, this could be contributing to pull. Google a tire wear chart, grab a penny, and go check all your tread carefully.

Also, you may have squishy steering rack bushings tha reduce responsivess. Urethane replacements can help this. If you combine this issue with the steering wheel column slop/tac weld issue (if your truck suffers from this), you could have several issues resultining in a cumulative bunch of slop. It is hard to know for sure until you investigate and eliminate.

 

Sounds like when I had a bad left tie-rod.

 

The tire wear seems good to me. I just put the winter tires on and they are brand new so I won't know for a while on those ones. Now I have developed a popping noise that appears to be coming from the driveline...I'm just going to take it down and have a mechanic give it a once over and tell me everything he sees wrong with it and fix what I can afford for now....

 

I second that suggestion. I had to replace my steering rack bushings to tighten things up following installation of my suspension upgrades/lift. They made a BIG difference!
