So I am interested it knowing the best way to carry extra fuel. I have a 2018 4dr with standard bed and a Snugtop. I did get the rails put on the shell. I am also interested in knowing the best DIY installed dash cam......I live in San Diego, and the Taco has been to Copper Basin, Id x2, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, N Mex, Az, and Colorado, oh and Eastern Sierra's x3. It is not a TRD, but is a 4x[IMG]

    thanks leev

    Welcome.

So what are you trying to do with the extra fuel? Emergency get to a gas station or extend your time in the backwoods?

As far as dash cams go you might want to chime into one of the many threads specially about that. Not being rude, most threads are just better off with a single topic.

Scepter cans or Jerry cans are very popular in the off-road communities. This translates to numerous mounting options available. Here is one.....

I have the 4Xinnovations bed bars and they are very well-made. I would buy their gas can mount in a heartbeat if I was in the market for one.

I've thought about this for back country travel. I would build a rack and place three VP 5 gallon motorsport jugs in it. Now you have just under three-quarters of a tank extra. I've never used a roto pack, but it's only a gallon. I've used plenty of the VP jugs and they fill and dump easily. Even one, tied down with a ratchet strap would be roughly a quarter tank.

So now I have to ask... Is Lee Vining really your name or are you referring to the town right outside the Eastern Sierra entrance to Yosemite? If you are back country wheelin' in the Eastern Sierra, you might want more than a gallon extra.

I only wanted some for the space They save. Once i get my rear bumper i will just get 2 jerry cans that hold like 60% morne than 2 rotopax lol

You mentioned you are new to the forum, so I'd like to offer a helpful tip. If you use the "Quote" button at the bottom left right of a post you want to reply to, it will populate the input box with the code to show that post in your reply.
This makes it easier for other readers to follow what's being discussed.
