What is the raca button for to the left of my steering wheel ? And my second questions is why do I have a blank plug spot with wires tan to it but plugged into nothing ? Was this a factory option my truck doesn’t have ?

Interested to see what people say about that harness.

RSCA is a button you push if you’re at extreme angles so that your side curtain air bags don’t think you’re rolling over and deploy.

I’d guess just push it to turn off, try it and see. I doubt I’d even push it if I’m getting tippy.

That switch with the harness appears to be the factory locker if you have one. Wonder what the harness is?

You'll notice a lot of Tacomas use the same harness but may not have the equipment installed. That's why doing a 4x4 swap is so easy. Think of this. What's cheaper to do? Build one harness and only add things that were ordered or make 50 different harnesses?

That's also why the base model guys upgrade their stuff too. Plug and play

Right! Kinda seems dumb if you get to that point I want both hands on the wheel. I have pushed that thing a hundred times and it never works or seems to do anything

I turn it off every time I go play. And again every time I shut the engine back on when out playing.

Hold the bottom for about 10 sec.
You will get an illumination on the dashboard when it is off.
The harness is for a locker. The in biblical cord for the truck was pre-wired for it doesn't mean you have the locker just the wiring is there for it.

Just tried it since I’m driving, mine is about 3 seconds to turn off and on. I guess I’ll push it if I’m wheeling, might as well.

Wait so can you just turn it off before you even start a trail, and be done with it? I thought you had to push it when you’re about to roll lol

Edit: For the question above, yes a light comes on to tell you it’s off. Just under the odometer on my 2014.
