So I checked over at Toyota Nation real quick to see what that site was all about and this was the first thing I saw...

Buy a new Toyota and get two years maintence free. I hope they keep this around. Im waiting to buy a new Tacoma, should be Around March or April next year. two years maintenece free will help a ton. I'd buy anyways, but this is a perk.

lots of companies are doing the same kind of thing. it's because most new cars require basically no maintenance other than oil changes for the first 2 or 3 years and around 36,000 miles. it really is genius.

This only covers oil changes and tires rotations for 2 years or 25,000 miles, which ever comes first. I got this when I bought my Tacoma in April.

What? No engine air filters? No cabin air filters? No fluid checks? Seems kinda useless if it's only oil change and tire rotation. Should be any wear item IMO. Hell, they should do the plugs, brake pads, belts or anything other wear item if you put the miles on it within 2 yrs to get to those service intervals listed in the maintenance schedule their manuals.

They do everything that your owner's manual recommends up to 25,000 miles. If your car calls for synthetic, they give you synthetic, if not, Mobil 1 is extra.

It's not bad if you get it free. But it's easy to live without if you are handy with a wrench.

Well at 5,000 miles between changes you might not get that many. But I say every dime helps in today's economy.

I have it on my 2010. It wasn't a factor in my decision to buy the truck but since there is a Toyota dealer right down the street from where I work it's nice to drop it off on my way to work and pick it up at lunch with no money out of pocket for oil changes and the like.

my time is worth more than taking it in, making an appt. for an oil change, having to wait for it, taking a chance on smudges i have to clean after them, having to tell them i want no car wash 3 times before they get it, having to check for missing bolts, proper wheel torques, scratches, dents, leaks, having to remove their stupid windshield stickers lol...
when i can do the oil change (and MUCH more) at any pace i want in my own garage lol

it's great though for people that never opened the hood on their car...

So how does this work...? Do you have to go back to the dealer you bought it from? If not, how do they know you got it?

I bought a 2010 back in February, and I didn't get jack or shit with mine........

You can go to any Toyota dealer. They'll pull the information from your VIN.

You pretty much answered your own question.

And original tires on the vehicle when purchased new would get prorated if maintained like they're supposed to.
