so tell me, does having your rtt on top of the cap compromise anything? i'm thinking of putting mine on top of the cab... wasn't sure if the shell will be able to hold the weight of the RTT and me and a female friend in the rtt..

Compromises gas lol. The shell dealership said it could hold roughly 1k pounds. So I think you two will be okay. Many people on the forums here have the silimilar set up and they have been doing for years with no issues.

Might be a long shot but do you know how much your vertigo wheels weigh?

    Trip Summary: Day by Day
    Day 1: LA to Mojave

8am left Los Angeles, went to straight to the grocery store in Barstow, CA. Stocked up on water, meats, munchies, toiletries, etc. Got to the martket around 10ish-
Afterwards hit up the Gas station, topped the Silverback off, and filled up the back up 5gal jug.

Drove down to Kelso Rd ran into the Mojave sign.IMG_1733.jpg

got lost looking for Lava tubes for about 45 minutes. Finally found them!

Asked the girlfriend to marry me, and she said Yes!! Truly the highlight of the trip and my life so far!

    kneel-2.jpg

As we celebrated and discussing how all of this was planned, we trekked together to the 2nd stop which was the Mailbox and sign in sheet
    IMG_1767.jpg
signed in and bounced. Time was running out. We were trying to make it the Mid Town Campground, but ended up at Mojave Camp, which worked out just fine!

---The car set up was great, the 6112 held their own and the rears as well (even with all the weight in the back: RTT, 10 gallons of water, kitchen set up, sleeping back, and recovery gear--- IMG_1788.jpg
pulled over for some Golden Hour shots.IMG_1792.jpg

reached camp at night- set up shop and we started to grill, drink, and star gaze.

    IMG_1809.jpg IMG_1854.jpg (morning piss views)IMG_1858.jpg IMG_1873.jpg IMG_1889.jpg IMG_1898.jpg

found the school bus later that day, took some pictures. then headed to south Rim, Grand Canyon!

**couldnt be any happier with the car and it s set up!

the RTT held up just fine, no issues. and the annex would later come in handy as we move north geographically.

    Day 2: pics coming soon.

    Back was loaded!
Dakars and 5100 held their own!

    6112 on the 6/5 notches.

With the bumper and winch added it sits a tad higher than stock.

only issue with the fronts is the rubbing. Will definitely have to do the chop soon.

Day 3: Made it to Sedona, AZ.
    - campsite was at FR 525, I recommend this location for all primitive camping in Sedona.
    - wake up with red rocks left and right, and at night clear skies for shooting star counting!

    We caught the meteor shower!!

Sunrise! the tent held its down, and put the annex up to change clothes, hang out when it got too cold. Came such in handy!

checked out the Montezuma Castle as well, pretty epic and jaw dropping to see how society was vs how it is now.

Last day: hit up Joshua Tree and hit some quick trails.IMG_2343.jpg

Cool truck, but I really like your photos. The long exposure shot where you included the truck is my favorite.
