Nice! Those are what I have as replacement straps for my tent's velcro ones. I just need the tent off the truck to replace them. I'll need to order a few extra for tie downs.

Mine do but the mechanism is broken/jammed... Probably could have gotten it with a screwdriver or something.

@GHOST SHIP provided the best idea.

I'm going to buy 2 pairs of these tube clamps, cut a plate out of aluminum that bolts to the clamps in each corner, and throw the mount on the plate for the rotopax.

Nice! I got approved to work from home for a half day tomorrow so I can head out easier.

Next weekend I'm camping too but in a campground haha. My GF's friends from high school are having a camping trip. Should be fun. Got approval to work from Santa Barbara next friday. Ended up working out awesome. I am going to a firm sponsored dinner on Thursday night for UCSB, spending the night, and working from there Friday. GF and I get a mini SB trip out of it and it's only a 20 min drive to where we are camping.

Aluminum too. if anything, the mating surfaces can be sanded down a bit to provide a more positive (tighter) clamp, but you'd most likely strip the aluminum threads before over tightening. I wouldn't trust one to not rotate on the tube by itself especially when something heavy is mounted to them, but with multiple clamps and some bracing (mounting plate), these should be pretty slick and work perfectly for @SixthSnail 's project.

And with the can mounting there, it will be easy to fill at the pump without removing it.

You trip is this weekend? If you can get the clamps in on time, we might be able to fab the plate and mounts before you go.

I got same day shipping so they will be here tonight. Problem is that I don't have a rotopax mount right now. I gave you mine! haha. That won't offer same day shipping so it wouldn't be here on time.

You can take the one you gave me for the weekend and just swap out when the new one comes in. I got you, boo. Let me know, I can get aluminum plate and get started on mock up using CAD (cardboard aided design).

Dude awesome!! If you have time tomorrow, I'll be home around 6:30 and just prepping for my trip. Or today I'm working from home but don't have the mounts yet haha.

This is gonna be sick if it works out!

    August 24-Sept 1.

I hope that rumor isn't true. Hoping to hit Alpine Loop for 2 days, Imogene Pass and Black Bear Pass. Not sure on the other trails yet

They had records amount of snow.

According to people - past years with similar snow fall records result in year round closures due to the snow not melting soon enough.. so theyre expecting the same this year

I'll be keeping an eye on it. Crazy we had a pretty calm winter this year. Heard Southern CO had a pretty bad winter.
