I think a lot of it has to do with the vehicle platform. 3rd gens are smaller compared to 4th and 5th gens and would show a greater effect on them. I run no sway bars and my car is super tippy, having that much weight up top scares me a little. I know a couple 3rd gen guys that do it and can tolerate it, then I know some that couldn’t handle it. I think I’d be one that couldn’t handle it, personal preference.
Ultimately think I may just keep the 3rd gen, build a trailer and put the tent on that. Keeps it light and keeps my ass happy in a roof top tent. Plus base camp

My options would be a newer 6.2, even an 11-16 GMC.

I really like the new rams though the DK Ram is so sick

I don’t think I could buy a ram without buying a Powerwagon, and then throwing some go fast shocks on it and 37’s. 6.4L, front and rear lockers, and no leaf springs sounds like a dream. Which is great, but still not a whoop eater

the new GM 6.2 is definitely a nice motor and the one you linked would be great because its an LTZ. Although i'd be feeling bad about beating on a 40k truck.

Need to move before LT. Not worried about a little price jump. But why not run this on the race truck?

I want to buy a nice pickup that I can split daily driving duties with, and then once it’s paid off, cut the shit out of it. Luxury full size prerunner is a dream.
I’ve been talking to Matt about my kit for the better part of a year now, and he really wanted me to push my ideas into a a product. The only real upside is that the CV’s are the limiting factor. So if I paid a ton of money for RCV’s we could probably be around 18” of front travel. However, with just modified Tundras, I’m hoping for 15” bumped and strapped.
