Was an awesome time. The wind was stupid at night Saturday though. Thought we were losing the tent.

In Nevada the wind was so strong the trailer was shaking, all stabilizer jacks down. The dog didn't even want go roaming, only out long enough to piss then back in the trailer. I checked the outside thermometer, showed 42 degrees, but wind chill was awful.

Still windy and raining right now. Good times.

I’ve never experienced a wind that strong while camping. That was just unreal.

Front bumper just sold for the same price I paid for it new, 5 years ago. Time to start cutting and building a new one.

We had winds come through Goler Wash in DV so hard that I thought it was a herd of donkeys.

Maybe it was a herd of donkey's. I slammed on the brakes heading into Beatty because I've never seen a group of wild donkey's just hanging out along the highway haha

Hahaha, I wouldn't have been surprised, but I got out to take a leak and it was just windy as fuck. Tent handled it surprisingly well.

It wasn't windy in DV the nights we camped there, but driving back through on the highway it was windy and turned into a mini sandstorm. The wind at Big Sur along the ocean was ridiculous that night. It shook the 4Runner all night.

It wasn't too bad the rest of that trip. I think it was just where we were camped in the canyon. The wind funneled through it all night.

I've been camping in the desert for years, wind is just a fact of life sometimes. I remember one time we came back from a hike and the ez up we had got pulled from the ground and flung into a yucca tree. We're lucky it didn't get blown into a car. Twisted my own ez up in August because I had it tied down to the 4runner and only 3 stakes in the ground. Pulled 1 stake and twisted it around into the runner.

My tent held up surprisingly well out at KOH on Saturday. It was full of sand when we got in it though. Luckily we were smart enough to pack up our sleeping bags so they didn't get covered in sand. It was pretty damn windy. Probably 30+ mph winds with some pretty heavy gusts. The dust is what made it shitty.
