@ramonortiz55 if your still scanning all the internet...could you keep a look out for a TRD Supercharger for a 4.7L V-8?? I found one on Craig's List in California...but they want $6,000...WTH!!! Said it's very "rare"...told them to keep it!!

Anyway...if anyone runs across one I'd appreciate it.

    Cheers!!

Are you buying me a present? That's so nice of you...:D

What are you doing with a 4.7L?

Is Magnuson releasing one? Thought everyone gave up on the 4runner 4.0 SC.

Ouch...yeah brand new are high dollar. The TRD S/C for the 5.7 is $8,000. Trying to decide if I should save money and get an old vehicle with the 4.7 250hp V-8 and Superchargers it. Or just step up to the newer vehicles that have the 4.6, which makes around 400hp??

If I have to shell our $6-8000 for a supercharger I'll definitely go with the newer 4.6L. I kick myself cause I saw 4.7 S/C 6-8 months ago on Craig's List for $1500. Matter a fact, I think someone on here posted the link. Oh well...I'm in no hurry just looking for another toy! Thanks guys

Well, I wasn't going to say anything..cause it's going to take some time to get the parts together and money. The wife offered to go buy me a new vehicle of my choice. Everything I've looked at is $50,000-$80,000...which I'd then be stuck with $600-$1,000 truck payment. So...I decided to buy a new lawn tractor and to just put some money in my 4Runner.

I'm going to swap in a V-8...just trying to decide which one. My V-6 is S/C and to be honest does pretty good. But it's lacking some torque and I just absolutely love the sound of a heathy V-8!! I looked at 1UV...it's an awesome motor, but you have to run premium gas and it designed after a race engine so it builds its power in the higher RMP's. Looked at the 2UZ (4.7L)...great truck engine, regular gas, but only makes 250hp. My V-6 makes 180hp and now S/C...they say add 50-70hp...so 230-250hp. Why go through all the work and money to again 0-20hp?? So now I'm looking at the 1UR (4.6L) and the 3UR(5.7L)...both make close to 400hp

The 1UR and the 3UR are exspensive engine even the ones in wrecking yards. That's what got me to thinking about S/C'ing a 4.7, which a plentiful and way less expensive.

Anyway..Might take my 2-3 years...but that's the plan. Oh and to pay cash as I go...no $1000 a month truck payment!!

Doesn't Gagdet with UDR already have a S/C for these 4.0???
