Looks like it will be a new one for me. They are just too proud of the 2010-2015's. I've done the math and, all things considered, I'd be better off getting a new one. Please educate me if you will: Do you have a Toyota dealer in your area that has shown a willingness to discount their Tacomas? Those of you that have purchased 2016s...Please give me some background info too: WHAT IS a down and dirty deal on a new 2016? Has anyone got behind the invoice yet, into the hold-back money? I do not mind driving long distances for the right deal. In 2009 I was on my way the next day to Birmingham, 656 miles, to get my G8 when the local dealer finally relented and matched their outstanding offer. The wife and I are retired and we are overdue for a good road trip. Driving to your dealer to get the right deal sounds like as good of reason as any for a road trip. Heck...Branson, Gatlinburg...distance is not an issue...We need a vacation.

If I could find that deal, but pay the additional $463 for the long bed I would jump on it. Like your truck! White is what I am looking for too.

I live in Dallas and flew to Denver to get mine. That alone should say enough. Better allocation and better prices there. It was worth it versus waiting longer to pay more. I was at Toyota of Dallas today for service and they had a DC TRD Sport 4x4 for $2500 more than what I paid OTD for my TRD off road. Same color too.

Gotcha now. I read or literally instead of OR.

I'd say that's a good deal. I was about $500 under that OTD but no steps. They offered them but I'm going for sliders.

What I am looking for: TRD Sport 4x4 DC, LB, Towing, prefer no moon roof, in white. If you drive by one of these please post up or PM me as to who and where the dealer is. Can't find any LBs in this area other than one quicksand. Other areas receiving allocations of LBs yet?

Good luck finding a DC LB anything in Gulf States territory. They seem to want to pretend that those models simply do not exist. I can't count how many GST dealership salespeople have told me the DC only comes with a short bed. I am working on getting a DCLB OR 4x4 right now, and I am pretty sure I am going to have to special order it or fly outside of GST territory to get it.

They are correct. They do not make a LBDC for the Tacoma. None of the chassis will fit it. With the DC you have the option of short bed or standard bed only.

No, they are not correct. Standard bed is the same length as the long bed, and Toyota refers to it as the Long Bed when it is on a DC truck and standard when it is on an AC truck. They do not make any DC "standard bed" trucks, only DC short bed, and DC long bed.

The wheelbase on the DCSB and AC trucks is 127" and it is 140" on the DCLB.

They have them in Colorado. I sat in one. I had to go there from Dallas to get my truck. Nothing was allocated here at the time AND they are more expensive in this region.

I am waiting to hear back from a dealer in College Station. Once I know what they can/are willing to do, I will start looking at going outside of GST territory to get the truck I want. Might end up with a pre-Christmas road trip somewhere. Right now, the only DCLB TRD OR 4x4 listed in the entire country on Cars.com in the color I want is in Burlingame, CA, and I am pretty sure I don't even want to know what Cali charges in tax and title on a $40K truck.

You'll only pay the the tax in the state where you register it. What color? The TRD OR DCLB that I sat in at my dealer in Colorado was quicksand. I got my TRD OR DCSB for $34,200 OTD there.

I would prefer blazing blue pearl, but would be ok with silver also.

Looks like I am going to be ordering through Atkinson South Dallas. Looking like it will be early January delivery most likely. The DCLB OR 4x4 models are apparently pretty scarce everywhere.

I've never even heard of that dealer and I live in Dallas. What did they quote you?
