Where did you get the hitch bbq pit at? I'm from the valley and visit about once every 2 or 3 months. If its at a decent price I would love to buy one when I visit down there.

A friend of mine builds them. I've had it for a few years. I think I paid him $250. It also has stands to be used on the ground. Wood handles and is 18" around and at least 1/4 inch metal. Bad part is that it is pretty heavy two people need to carry it.

Well some of us want to do it this coming weekend, and others want to do it on the weekend of the 19th. We can't make up our minds.

Either way, I'm going down this weekend, will be coming back to SA in the middle of next week. So I'll be at SPI this Saturday, if anybody wants to meet up this Saturday shoot me a pm.

I can't wait to go fishing this weekend.

Well, all this that we've been talking about it's all kinda last minute planning.

I plan on setting up a real meet later on this summer.

Unless someone else wants to set up an official "SPI meet II". :D

Ok so I mainly have light-medium rods. Maybe two 9' rods. What kind of weights, tackle, bait do you use? And what besides sharks are you fishing for from the surf? Sorry I'm a huge bay fisherman haven't been on the surf in many many years.

Ah, for the surf I use spider weights, maybe mullet or some cut up whiting for bait on a circle hook. I need to by some nine foot rods, (old ones I broke from throwing things on top of them  ) In the surf I just usually fish for red, or whiting. If I see ladyfish feeding I'll go for them, they're fun to catch :D.

I wanna go fishing in the bay, but don't really know any good spots. My bro in law and I got lucky once though adn caught some speckle trout. (one each)

My cabin, the one in my signature! :) Some pics of me and my wife with one of my boys. The pier is filled with trout. Also one of me holding a monster black drum.

We dock out of Adolf Thomae Park in Arroyo City. About a 7-10 mile boat ride from the park. Its in the middle of the water not on land.

got back on my computer...sleep wandered off...

I've only been wade fishing twice, the first time was when my bro in law and I caught those speckled , 2nd time we went to the same spot,...no such luck. It was right off of the road between laguna vista, and port isabel. Where the ppl park there cars or trucks on the edge of the road and walk to the water.

I just wana go somewhere where I KNOW I will catch fish for sure. I haven't fished since the day before last christmas. :(

Some friend......I think he over charged you. You can pick up a hitch grill at your local Academy for $65. I use mine all the time at Cowboys game tailgates/UT Longhorn tailgates and of course when Im at the beach or the lake or whatever.

Best mod for my truck I ever made. Before I bought it I was looking at the Gator grills online for around $500 then I went to a local guy who wanted $350..........then I walked into Academy one day and there it was.......its called the EZ Grill. And yes I know it's not made of 5 inch thick steel or whatever you call it......but guess what.......it does the job and is light enough to lug around without hurting your back. :D

I attached a few pics of the grill in action and what it can do. And just for kicks a photo of me and the Billion dollar man!

PS. Bert, you still have a badass setup with that Cabin......I envy you! Where exactly is it so I can send my Game Warden friend to check your license and bag limits.....hahaha.

Well, why don't you guys make up your minds :p You all are in the valley, I'm not. I'm still taking off Friday after school for the valley, but gotta take care of something this saturday.

I've been applying for jobs everywhere up here in SA, and no luck so far. I'm hoping wal mart will call back soon, as I already had the 1st interview with them. :)
