Interested to see how the KO2's do with 35's on the 4 banger. do you think you'll need any more trimming or beating on the firewall? Spindle gussets? I'll be getting new shoes soon, wondering if I should bump up a size...

    Thanks man

On the front I'm good on the street lock to lock well see how she does off road... the rear I'm gonna need to do the shackle flip it changes the angles enough so I can get away with maybe only trimming the rear inne liner and not the fender. That's my hope at least. The Rims at 4.25 are the same as my stocks with the spacers so I should be good there as well even aired down

Well it was a good 10.5 hours in the shop but we got the arb and 4.88 diffs in my truck and my stock 410s are now with @thekernel114. I didn't really take much for pics cause too us turning wrenches but here's what I have

I've still gotta find a spot for the compressor and get it all plumed in and working right. So far though everything is great. Love the gearing with the 35's it feels great to drive no more clutch riding

I cheated, we swapped the rear third put of the silver truck which contained the 4.88s and locker with my stock third and 410s. Same with the front diff. Setting up gears is advanced and takes a very persice understanding of what your doing. Since the components are so pricey I leave it to pro's. As for swapping the diffs well its just a bunch of unbolting and removing of plugs etc. I'd have liked to have taken pics and done a detailed write up but we both needed our trucks running at the end of the day so it was down to business

So I had a couple free oil changes from my local dealership, so after explaining to them how to take apart my skid plates, and them deciding it was too muh work and inventing a way to get to my oil filter without taking them apart, the tech comes up and is like did you know your air filter is wet and full of mud.. news to me... when the cutting was done for the 35's we left some of the inner fender to protect the intake tube well it was fine till I got the 35's on... so after some searching a deciding the safari snorkel if hugely ginormous I found an airflow america snorkel and ordered it up hoping to see it in the next week or so.. also hoping to get my compressor and air lines all hooked up in that time too

So ups lost my snorkel, airflow is sending me a new one, but this means more time my truck has to spend stuck on the pavement probably another week or so....

My snorkel arrived today and after work I decided to put it on, to solve my intake issue. Now I cannot stress this enough the template is only a guide and when you put it on the studs might now not be where they're supposed to be. That being said I only had one hole I had to enlarge a bit. Overall this isn't a terribly difficult install just a pain in the ass.

I started by masking off the fender and a pillar
    IMG_20160210_212432_44d7f4a4bd197598c747ee59d99c7e14e5e848ba.jpg

Then I took apart the air intake only to find this contraption
    20160210_171454_e86576f794241d7973edc61433bc44dca52bef3f.jpg
    20160210_171805_9edb441e46bbcf9a41eda04e0f67355f06e64da0.jpg

Then I lined up the template

    20160210_173000_835debbfa98560083272214e9ae00a15596125d9.jpg

    And cut
    IMG_20160210_212624_23be77ede068a0b38d03da70111f567a57362b37.jpg

After this I put some paint on the studs which had been drying because I locktighted the shit out of them. I then touched them to the paper and then used a punch and drilled out all the holes. This is where I took the instructions and threw them out its no so easy for the 4cyl. Youll need to take the fender off, I left the Antena attached allowing the fender to kinda rest partially on the ground against the tire. Next I cut out the weird support bracket until the 90 pipe could fit without issue. Then I used some sealant on the longer of the two 90s and stuck the long end through the intake hole in the truck. Now attaching the oem box. Once that's on use the supplied flex pipe and clamps to attach the other 90 at this point you can throw the fender on loose, and begin fitting the snorkel body on. This is the hard part Yu just gotta work it till it goes on and you can thread the bolts onto the studs. The upper stud I couldnt get too cause my hand was too big and didn't wanna take the fender off for a 5th time.. I gotta reattach my flare, and tidy up a bit but the fit is awesome I'm super happy with the snorkel... I haven't decided if I will use the a pillar bracket yet either

    Finished for now

Thanks man its kinda exploded in the last 6 months but it's totally worth it... I just got my compressor on the weekend so I've gotta figure out where to put it so I can get those lockers working... my goal is to use the truck more than work on it this year

I feel you there, way more wrench time than actual use over the last year. I'm also in the same compressor predicament, gears and front locker went in a few weeks ago and I'm still undecided if it should go under the hood, under the bed, or inside the bed. Cheers to using our trucks more this year, well... that's the goal at least.

I'm probably gonna end up putting mine in my tool box, there's no room under my hood cause I got the big dual arb compressor, and the ginormous 4cyl air box is where it would go on a v6 truck. But it means I have to extend all the wires from the harness. I gotta get some fittings for the air line etc.. I'm already on my way to using my truck more I've got a weekend trip in march and a week long overland trip planned fo the first week of July

Ok so adventures in VHF radio. Scored myself an icom f121 mobile unit last weekend, and picked up an antenna whip and cable today ended up going with a Larsen wide band as per the radio store guys suggestion. While running the cables I found out my floor was all wet on the drivers side. I think I got a little carried away when hitting the pinch weld anyways I siliconed the fuck out of it so I'll have to keep an eye on it. But I got the antenna set up on a fender mount, couldn't finish the radio though..I also picked up a set of oem leafs I'm gonna add another leaf to my pack so when I got the rtt on I don't sag. I've got a lot of little projects to do before the 24th of march as my truck will be making an appearance at the Vancouver international auto show as part of a display and the day after that I leave for my first multi day trek of the year
