    Looks real good!

I am not stock, but with a 1.5" thick spacer in front I'm sitting at 22"3/4, hub to fender. hope this helps

How are they flat with 3+ inches of lift? Must be the body lift?

I am starting to think that a body lift may be the way to go, at least to save CVs. What made you choose the body lift? Seen any adverse side effects from it yet?

The body lift won't save your CVS. Not having a shit ton of preload will. I choose it for future :turtleride: mods. I wanted to have space to clock the fj tcase and taco box if needed. I got the toytec kit, it's a quality kit with grade 8.8 hardware. I've had it on for over a year and there are 0 side effects. As you guys know I run my truck pretty hard too

Damm not much for stock stuff left on your truck!
Do you think having having 5100's with stock springs and 1.75 setting will affect my cv's?
    I'm at 150k now.
I know that was probably a long time ago for you if you even started there!

I'm not sure. I've never been a fan of the bilstein front setup. Trial and error in just adjusted my coils till my lift to CV rub ratio was acceptable.

    Lol cool man!!
Don't think I got any worries.
Your truck is a beast. Mine is a queen.

I'll stick to the low curbs to drive over to be safe:anonymous:

    Long overdue but here......we......Go

    The Island Grand Tour!!
This trip went off better than I could have ever hoped for. Even if we spent two days lost in the woods!!

    Day 1 5:15 AM
Met up with the boys at a Tim Hortons, I took the unprecedented step of loading the truck the night before when I got home from work, cause there was no way in hell I was gonna be loading the truck at 330am. With our ferry spotso reserved we grabbed a few coffees and some food and headed out.

    20170624_115142_f8de413f53391af6405a3238d4912a8fb3522906.jpg

    From left to right
2000 Tacoma base belongs to my good buddy Nate, Ome heavy kit, 31" BFG ko2, are cap, Smittybilt rtt and an arb 50qt fridge
04 TRD off road belongs to my buddy Cody, Ome heavy kit, 32" general grabber at2, home build rack the Tepui 2 man I forget the name of it, and every piece of old school gear you can imagine.
    My truck no explanation necessary
@speedwaygonzalez and his wonderful flat deck

And hour later we were at the terminal waiting to board the 7am ferry. Discussing some Intel I'd gotten from some online sources we set out for our first stop San Juan River. This drive in itself is epic enough, our campsite turned out to be a provincially run site it was the first and only time we payed for camping a whopping 10$ a truck. We were greated by this massive old growth cedar

We set camp and sat in the river as Temps reached 30c that day

    Day 2
We packed up ate and hit the road our next stop was through the maze of logging roads that cover Vancouver Island. Near the town of Bamfield we had originally planned to stay seaside but the one prospect turned out to be a log dump with a view

We spent a few hours exploring various side road and offshoots until we found a nice lakeside spot. Tired of dodging heavy rigs and service trucks this spot was a sanctuary from the dust

    Day 3
We packed up early again a hit the road. We were dirt roads all the way to Port Alberni. Dust so thick you were navigating by feel almost. Even spaced out by nearly a few km at one point. All the while logging trucks flying around at speeds of 80kph. At about 20psi and the new kings I felt like I was driving on fresh asphalt. We made a coffee and fuel stop in Port Alberni and made our way down the windy narrow highway to the surf town of Tofino.
    20170626_124955_2d88e9bb31500c84a15c421401099b3cd97ef4ab.jpg
We wandered and ended up at a restaurant for lunch we could tell they weren't used to seeing dirty overlanders but that's OK cause this place wasn't our jam either but all the pubs in town are closed on Mondays wtf ??
    20170626_142402_14aa041d8f6a6c97141da884181a62e51525f017.jpg
We made the best of it and tried to find a camp spot that wasn't in the National Park which surrounds the town. Got a tip from a local we found admiring the trucks so we left town and headed up to Kennedy Lake and got the beach pretty much to ourselves

This was a nice lakeside temperature wise and we took the opportunity to wash the dust off before setting into dinner.

    Day 4
We woke up to heavy fog and moisture which made the days dust stick to everything
    IMG_20170702_162155_841_9da53c65543f8f043d20670efa4ef572de6fa851.jpg
As usual we were up early ate packed up and hit the road back to Port Alberni as there are no other roads out of the area. We stopped for coffee again and headed up the highway to Campbell River. Stopping seaside we hit a few shops and made our plan for tonight's camp spot

After a little celebration alongside the falls we headed up to Campbell Lake for the night

    Day 5
We got a little later start after a night of celebration. Today we were headed for the town of gold river which had us travelling a lot of highway after a brief dirt road mob. We ended up checking out the Upana Caves just outside town.

This one is cool it's a picture of the reflection of us as the river passes through it pools here and the limestone filters it so it's insanely clear

We left the caves and pushed on stopping for a brief lunch alongside another small lake. Finally ending up at Vernon lake again days of dust and 30c temps had us dying to jump in. Although this glacier lake had us hoping out after only a few minutes

    Day 6
We blasted down the dirt road and a small amount of highway turning off at The Atluck. This area is the very heart of the North Island logging and boy was it an adventure. We first tried to backdoor our way into seeing an 800 year old fir but the road was blocked by active yarding so we got a nice photo opportunity
    IMG_20170703_112421_814_bbd8efbf4415146d5ada167f7f0756c8d6ae0aec.jpg
We headed back and encountered massive Pacific logging rigs, at one point we used an unloaded truck as a running back and just followed him through a super narrow shelf section along the lake
    FB_IMG_1499053595344_b6366414dd25e8406c37323bd2cfad08e673fd85.jpg

We then spent the next 6 hours searching for the road that would take us to Victoria Lake. However we got ahead of the current cut and signage became old, unreadable and or missing. Buring through 3/4 of a tank in my 4cyl we decided to turn around and make camp. We ended up at Huson lake and settled in for the night
    IMG_20170703_123945_784_4ae489e2294999c2e1da3a0eb899cb1e68d70661.jpg

    Day 7
Dipping into my 40L reserve we fueled and headed back to the highway. Making our way to Port McNeill to refuel our reserves and grab some snacks. We got back on the road and ended up in Port Alice as I missed the turn off for the so dubbed humpshamu road as we didn't care to figure out how to pronounce the real name
    IMG_20170703_125409_187_ced30269b431aebd3e2dbc8cc9250c7f693f3134.jpg

Again we got ahead of the cut and our maps showed two roads that went through one was shown as washed out the other good to go. Well it turns out humpshamu was also washed out and deactivated. However we could see the main fsr and decided to make our own road

We only made it a couple more km before the Forrest swallowed the road
    IMG_20170704_212305_181_5817fd766b9d566aeffee8c51c4d22578edd6373.jpg

As a last ditch effort we decided to try the washed out road and as it turned out it was one of the nicest dirt roads I've ever driven. Hauling at around 90k we ate up the dirt and made our way to Winter Harbour and we finally got our campsite by the sea

    Day 8
We were women by locals around 1am celebrating Canada day early so my whiskey induced sleep was ruined. Tired we drank some extra coffee and made Some for the road and made the short drive to San Joseph Provincial park this was as far north as we could drive so we resorted tof hiking and we were rewarded

We got back on the highway and made the few 100km journey back to Campbell River where we parted with Nate as he had to work the Monday and wanted time to unload. The rest of us wandered the many campsites along Campbell Lake as they were all full with long weekend campers until we found an unnamed, unmarked site that was empty

    Day 9
We just travelled this day we drove the old Island highway in it entirety and slowly made our way to Nanimo to catch our ferry home. We stopped at a few shops and had lunch besting the long weekend traffic rush the following day. This was the last photo I took on the trip and what a trip it had been

So I've had what sounds like something bouncing off one of the cross members. For the longest time I've thought it was the crushed exhaust moving and hitting the drive shaft x member under load but it's been getting worse to the point now if I put a lot of load/ acceleration on I feel it in the floor. Guess I'll be under the truck on my few days off because I'm in Vegas at the end of the month and then it's our annual turkey wheeling shit show trip lol
