Well you asked for em so here they are. This past weekend the BC Day long weekend I took off Friday morning with whoever wanted to come along for an epic 4 day adventure. A repeat almost of last year's trip except this time I knew where I was going and would be leading others as well as being able to push my truck a lot harder than ever before. We started off with one of the best trails around BC, Whipsaw!!!! Now some may remember I did this trail with simply tires and sliders. Like every trail though there are harder lines and the weather can turn this trail frpm fun day in the sun to muck hole to 6ft of snow!!! Temperatures this weekend were a mild 35+C lol

After finishing whipsaw on Saturday afternoon we made the 3 hour drive down a few fsr's and across two different highways to a secret plateau campsite along the fraser river. We setup there for the night

Our little Suzuki friend had been having brake troubles the while trip at this point he was down to one working caliper we decided if we were to continue this needed to get better as the narrow and steep shelf roads of molybdenite peak awaited us

    FB_IMG_1438743843098_ced85ca5f5724797efc196e29511ae49e3dbe006.jpg

We got the brakes working properly a couple hours later and we're back on the road.

Finally after a splash of fuel and beer we arrived at molly

    20150802_121240_648e3bebd90eb4f34688f1fa994d873851e127e9.jpg

But it wouldn't last the grades, heat and mechanical issues meant the 4runner and Suzuki kept over heating. So we took off the hoods. Turns out the 4runner had a broken fan clutch we used tie wire to fix it

Finally we made it to the alpine meadows with the peak in sight

After a very long day we found ourselves a small pullout in the meadow and set up camp marking the end of a great long weekend.

    FB_IMG_1438659505415_814f8308fdb111cfc94d5dae396f5fe274d6b405.jpg

We drank and had a great night mostly cause we were tired and hungry but also to scare away grizzly bears. In the morning none of us had been eaten so we packed up and made the long trek home parting ways at the bottom of the mountain.

    Nice!!!
looks like your suspension has a lot of flex now. Really stuffing the fronts. The runner was hanging a wheel climbing the rock face did your suspension keep yours planted? Pretty cool man! Nice pics and dialogue!
Kinda wish I was allowed in Canada so you could bring me out!!

It has way more flex than before. Last year in the ditch I only has two tires on the ground this year I only hung the rear because I was messing around. The 4 runner was still running a sway bar. I belive my suspension and wheel base kept me planted. Ya it's pretty easy to get on the can't come to Canada list. I have a ever growing list of places in the states I wanna wheel as well

So I lost a mud flap somewhere on whipsaw and the 5.0 are hard core around here for handing out tickets and vehicle inspections to 4x4 trucks. So I didn't wanna give them a reason and got myself some long John flexy flaps. Little trimming and some self tappers and bam flexy flap upgrade

Really like this. Might have to do this myself even though there are no laws concerning mudflaps in Colorado.

I have some ideas but ya the plastics are done. Got run over and dragged down the trail

They held up today. Also helps with rock defection when blasting fsr's

Sub'd! Love to see 2.7 in action! I do love mine and don't regret not having bought a 4.0.

Showing pictures of you and your friends cleaning trails and camping spot is a good example that everyone should follow! Love that!

Ok so I'm working on drawing up a hybrid tube bumper that is winch capable. I've got an idea of what I wanna do I just gotta wait to get back to my truck as I'm away for work for a week or so... but that gives me lots of time to work on things on paper. Anyways I'm basing the design off a couple existing bumpers, I'd like to take out that little cross member thingy but I think my ifs skid is attached to it so I'll have to do some figuring on that one either have the skid built into the bumper and sell off my ifs skid or maybe have them join together somehow. Like I said I got some figuring to do lol

So interesting things have happened today. Got denied at the gatekeeper to eagle mountain which pissed me off, in conversation with a buddy he mentions to me that he's returning his truck to stockish cause lifted on 35's sucks on a students budget. So in other words I've traded my way into some toyo mt 35's and Dakar leafs
