Great trip report man. I recently started following bctoyota4wd and I think I saw your post about running the whipsaw the other day. I ran it for the first time a week and a half ago. Hell of a trail!

Thanks boss, bctoyota4wd is great I'm considered on cause I got in when there were fewere than like a thousand members. I've been a admin for almost a year and I run the instagram account well sorta I slack off on that one....whipsaw is amazing you'll notice I've done it a few times... not super hard but just lots of fun as long as people stay on the trail

What kind of shackle are you running in the bcc kit? I told Taran to use stock shackle and at ride height it's completely vertical

What ones you looking at getting? I got some stock length 4xinnovations ones and bcc put it at the rear hole and it's vertical at ride height. Going to see about moving it to the middle hole if I can or get some new shackles

I had the same issue with the rear hole. The middle hole unfortunately causes the shackle to contact the new bracket when the truck is launched or flexed/bouncing. @speedwaygonzalez has 1" xj shackles from peaden off road, most likely I'll end up with those. But I haven't decided yet

Hmmm wonder what shackle they designed it around then? I'd love to have the shackle at a 45* angle so I may just stick it in the middle hole and see what happens. I saw on their Instagram a long time ago that they used a synergy shackle on one of them but it still looked vertical

He wants 100$ seems fair, you don't happen to know the dimmensions? And how much space between the bottom of the box and the bed of the truck? I'd like to be able to slide things underneath it. Thanks for the quick response too!

Impromptu trip this weekend, it was pretty short only 530km but it was an all new area for everyone there so that was exciting. .

Friday we packed up the truck after work and being a long weekend traffic was insane. Ended up meeting everyone around 630pm. We took back roads until we got to the harrison east fsr, now city folk love to come to the easy to get too spots so the first 30km of the road was ridiculous, cars parked along the side of the road people walking the road, we could barely see because of all the dust, people not moving over so you could pass it was crazy, we finally left the yuppies behind adding at least an hour and a half to our time, we pushed on till about 10pm at a much better pace, found a spot nothing glamorous but it had room for all 3 trucks, tossed back some food and brews and sat by the fire for a couple hours.

The next day we got moving and hit the road at 8am, and made awesome time over the pass and into the nahatlach Valley we came down the mountain and turned towards the lake, most of the sites here are within a provincial park and are pay so we kept on trucking and explored some off shoots and boy did we find some great stuff

    Nahatlach Lake

Stopped for a snack at an old logging camp
    FB_IMG_1470182231873_6efad8b2fe8427fac399c3891caa5e84aef7df76.jpg

We pushed on down the Nahatlach fsr around 37km the road deteriorated, we had to detour a couple bridges cause they were super rotten and we didn't think they could hold the trucks. This part of the road was also super overgrown, eventually we found ourselves a sweet spot on the river which was cold as balls. Had a swim set up camp and you guessed it cracked open some cold ones!!!

Sunday morning we had a much slower start and didn't hit the road until around noon, we backtracked our way to the start of the Nahatlach fsr and made our way up to the old fire watch tower which is now maintained by members of the BC four wheel drive association. The road narrows as it gets steeper which means my dump truck has to 3 point turn all of them.... eventually we made it and what a spot it is

We spent the night around the fire and more beverages were consumed. We made our way down and exited the fsr at Boston Bar midway point of the Fraser Canyon and then a couple hours of highway driving it was back to the city

Got a question for ya. When you re-gear your rear diff what is there to do for the front? Nothing? So the front would spin at a faster rate in 4wd than the rear wouldnt it

You have to have matching gear ratios front and rear otherwise it'll bind up and break... so when you regear you buy two sets of gears one for the rear 8" diff and then you gotta get a set for the clam shell. The front diff is and adventure to take out of the truck.

Nope I cheated and just swapped my diffs and cash for thekernels diffs did it in his shop and he'd done it a bunch of times so just explained what to do. Speedway Gonzalez showed up that day too Lol there's some pretty ridiculously sick trucks around town here.
