Haha just kidding but I did retire the truck from daily duties, shits gonna get real soon lol also booked my annual 10 day camp/overland trip. I'm pretty happy with this little vw runs like a top super mint. Looking forward to 45+ mpg

I finally did something. After spending 3 months on my floor my winch is finally on the truck lol.... long story short I went to try and run some trails Monday and couldn't get more than 10 ft and got annoyed cause if I had a winch I could be more aggressive and ya went home and tossed it on.

You give us 4cyl 4x4's hope lol. How does the 4.88's handle the 35's? I was thinking about going that route on my access cab

Perfectly. My truck felt like it was close to stock again. Keep in mind my truck is a fat bitch tipping the scales at 5100lbs but it still gets 22mpg on the highway. Also if you're gonna regear lock the bitch up totally worth it

Picked up a couple Rubbermaid action packers today to replace some of my older totes. It actually allowed to eliminate a couple and free up some of that precious bed space

I also realized my camp stove is gross and needs to be cleaned

Actually it took a day of lubing and a 5lb sledge to get the bottom shock bolts out of my icons in the process the lower bearings exploded luckily I had spares from FK bearing. The shocks are at Big Country Customs right now being cleaned up and having my king 14" 700lb springs put on

Got my shocks back. Actually more like I finally got off work early enough to go pick them up. Waiting on new hardware from toyota and I'll be messing with these most of the weekend. Gonna have to play with the preload once I get them on the truck gonna back them off to probably 1.5 " and start there

Just wait.... till I finish the suspension. The goal for this truck has always been an overlander that does bad assituation trails too

I'm gonna go with some aftermarket shackles which will lift the rear another inch. I'm gonna cut off the rear shock mounts and weld on extended mounts and 14" shocks most likely billies. I'm gonna have to limit the rear to 13.5 or 13.25" of travel to stop the 14s from bottoming out but 13.25 is better than 12 lol

Trucks back together went for a test spin and she's a bit stiff but the truck sits level now which will change once my wallet recovers. I also finally installed my ricochet lca Skids
