Ya it's unfortunate. I'm basically giving them till the end of the year to fix it otherwise I'll just pickup the Dakars!!! Scs wheels I'm so :jellydance: I want the runner8's or the f5's in root beer. Lol I started a thread when my only mod was a satellite radio lol. I really haven't modded much yet just used it well!!!

Oh ya not sure what the sound is I hear at around 90 kph but it makes it in 2wd and 4wd and sometimes it doesn't do it at all. I'm thinking it's not the diff bearing sooo I'm just gonna keep an eye on it for now and see how it goes

So myself and my neighbour decided to ring in the news years in style by camping and wheeling. I threw up and open invite with bctoyota4wd and off we went had a great night met some new people 5 rigs showed up in total I snapped a few frosty pics this morning while I enjoyed my morning coffee by the lake. I also got to test out my new toyota cargo net that my old lady got me for Christmas! !

Today starte off as a regular maintenance day. Little did I know it would turn into an epic struggle of man vs u joint!!!

Soo on Saturday I broke a cap on the center u joint upon further inspection the other two were pretty much toast as well. I'm also fairly certain these are the original ujoints which made it to 171000 km because of how swide they were in there.

    Broken

I also found a dent in my dshsaft doesn't seem to affect anything though

I'd never been so happy to be finished a job by this point with the shaft assembled I couldn't hold the mini sledge anymore a solid 5 hrs of stubborness!! I wanted to service the diffs, tranny and t case but I was too tired so I just did an oil change instead. Also I couldn't get the diff drain plugs out

Also added to my wheeling hoodie collection tonight

Went out for a rip on Sunday. Haven't had a chance to take the truck out since the new ujoints. I also had my weather tech floor mats show up a few days ago and I gotta say I should have bought these months ago they're just awesome!!!

A guy I'd been out with a couple times had some troubles getting up probably the only guy I've seen actually use his dodge for more than groceries. Destroyed and axle shaft anyways got it together enough to get down the hill 20 ft from the end and the narrowest part of the trail the wheel bearing fell out and that was it ended up waiting around for an hour and a half for a tow and the only guy that would come was Ken if you watch highway through hell you'll know who I'm talking about. Still had a fun day though

    Le dodge

Did you put the stub back on the axle? Unit bearing needs the stub to hold it together.

Probably why the bearing committed suicide. I was just a spectator on the repair. It was an interesting day that's for sure I'm also loving how washed out hale is getting :)

Damn haha to bad the guy didn't do that. Could have saved him a tow and a unit bearing. Been a while since I've done hale, hopefully it gets so bad I will actually need lockers.

To be fair the shaft was pretty dickered not sure if it would have gone back in... it's just with all the rain the soft dirt is eroding leaving the bigger rocks!! I smashed my crossmember again lol I just ordered rear shocks so pretty much just need those icons rebuilt and some uca's and my truck will look funny with tiny tires lol

Friday I had the day off slow week at the office so I didn't feel the need to be there, I ordered a new headlight housing a while back to fix the one I buggered early last year. Had some trouble getting it back in guess my fender was a little more tweaked than I thought.

You'll notice a water crossing. I'd just like to point out that this is a runoff bed and not a fish habitat Normally it's just a puddle but we had epic amounts of rain the last week so the water has moved some rocks and washed away lots of different parts of the trails making things fun

Tacoma climbing down the rocks at sunrise lake: http://youtu.be/RUnQz5r67VU
Stock tacoma going down vrock: http://youtu.be/J1Tajc4BWR4
High water at hale creek: http://youtu.be/zMqIN5HVut4
High water at hale creek 2: http://youtu.be/UgV98GFuVZ4

I also added a plate reinforcement my front plate keeps getting torn up worse and worse so I added a stop of aluminum see how that goes for now

Nothing too exciting happening right now.Went out for another local meetup. This one was at probably my least favorite place to take my truck stave lake. It's unfortunate because it's really a beautiful place but unfortunately it's very popular with the mudding crowd as well as people who definitely don't appreciate what is there. Anyways got shown a nice vantage point and still had fun mainly watching people wreck their trucks in the mud. Also got some bad news on the suspension front my rear shocks are gonna be delayed which isn't a huge deal considering I'm waiting on my icons and uca's I have leafs though lol I should really pick up the pace here I'm way beyond the capabilities of my stock suspension and it's keeping me from some sweet trails!!!

Picked these up a few weeks ago just finally getting around to post about them. I got my hands on a aisin 10k winch of an hdj81 Land cruiser, came with the plate and cable as well as the oem toyora winch controler, very cool stuff. Not quite sure how or when I'm going to mount this but I figure it's a nice piece to have

Went out on Sunday again to a spot I hadn't been to in a while. Actually it's been almost a year since I was there last anyways had a great time despite breaking my passenger side headlight..

Dam tree jumped out at me. It bent the lower fender piece a tiny bit as well so I'll have to pull that when i get the new light which is on order for now tape will suffice.
