    Howdy,

Has anyone seen or bought the Tyger riveted flares for a 3rd gen? I just came across these on the interwebs and have never seen them before. I'd love to see how they look on someone's taco.

Based on their step bars I see no reason why they can't be a good alternative to Bushwackers.

Interested in how the actual fitment is on these, if anyone has a set they've installed already...

Because I'd rather save money and not have to deal with mailing in a rebate...

Can you still install these even if you don't have OEM fender flares? I just have an SR5 but I don't see anywhere on the fender where these flares would attach.

Takes about 10 minutes which equates to making $420 an hour. Really ?

Yes really, it's a piece of plastic. Why pay more when it's already priced ridiculously high for pieces of plastic. Just like those overpriced TRD Pro grill inserts going for $500+, I'd never buy one either.

    And 35K + for a truck isn't ? LOL

You think 'plastic' flares are less $300 on a new truck as an option ? Get real.

Maybe some of us have an expensive truck which causes us to be on a budget when it comes to modifications

Actually got the truck less than 35 but nice assumption, and back to original point of this thread, if the TYGER flares are just as good(fitment) as BUSHWACKERS I'd rather save some coin and go with the cheaper flares, which look exactly the same in the pictures..

There is a huge difference in quality and fitment of aftermarket fenders.

Even if they fit perfect, odds are the sun will warp and fade the shit out of them. I've seen it with these aftermarkets cheapies, but for $200, you could just throw them away and start over I guess.

I've not really seen the quality of aftermarket fenders long term but even the stock plastic fenders will fade from the sun if not properly maintained...

I was interested until I zoomed in on the picture. They have this weird double lip near the edge that's kind of funky. I like the smooth bushwackers(with pocket screws) better.

Just zoomed and saw that too. Too much busy detail I suppose. Some people like that look and they'll match perfectly fine with a set of these.
