I installed one of these on mine the week i picked up the truck, install was easy, quality for the price is damn good.

I'm going to pull off the clamps and paint them though, not a fan of the unfinished look.

no, standard bed rail system. (2007)

after tightening the clamps to hold the velcro rails down, the alum clamps could be moved.
they were bottomed out alum to alum.

was nothing close to this. bed rails look taller on 3rd gen. mine are about 1"+ shorter

i need to get picks, but mine is butted up almost to the glass and covers top of tailgate too.
not as much space as this

I don’t know about your clamp situation, but I could (and probably should) slide the clamps forward so the cover sits more forward on the bed. I’ve been lazy though lol.

Tyger asked me to fill out some dimensions and they are going to make a set of clamps for the truck.

the 2 dims in question on 2nd gen are .25 horizontal and .75 vertical. much shorter than 3rd gen, i guess

The materials they use are of pretty good quality, there's some YouTube videos of users with snow/extreme weather that had good opinions on them.

After seeing the good comments here and in another thread, I ordered one from Amazon on Friday and it was delivered Sunday morning. Fast! Install took maybe an hour, but a lot of that was unpacking it, removing my tie downs, and the bungees attached to them, and then scraping a bunch of goo off my front bedrail corners that was leftover from trying to seal up my camper shell, and wouldn’t be hidden any more. Actual install time was probably more less than 30 minutes.

Fits well, and impressive quality of presentation for the price: sturdy, thoughtful packaging and decent instructions written in English not Chinglish, though I’d trade the battery powered bed light plus $5 cost up, for some black powder coating on the brackets and maybe Torx screws for the brackets to provide a bit of theft resistance if you leave the tonneau open. Overall, two thumbs up, assuming it holds up well to the weather and dirt.

3 months in and the cover is holding up great. Very happy I went with the roll-up vs a tri-fold, as there's been more than a couple times I've needed the whole bed as well as a somewhat more flexible cover to fit over all the crap I had in the back (family camping for the first time = way too much stuff in the truck). It's proven to be mostly weatherproof as well as even with some heavy rains and highway driving there's only a little bit of water in the bed. I've also gotten a solid 1mpg gain, averaging 20.5mpg with a 50/50 city/highway mix by mileage with the cover closed vs 19.5mpg with the bed open. Given that I've put almost 15000 miles on my truck since may the cover will pay for itself eventually!

Winter is coming, and that's always the biggest test for anything in Alaska, so we'll see how it fares. I'm most worried about the plastic on the ends breaking and the cover icing itself to the tailgate, followed by the vinyl not holding up to -40F.

I'm curious to hear how this holds up to some heavy rain?? I live in FL and we have our daily showers and sometimes more, plus this winter I'm planning at going to the in-laws in NC or VA for Christmas and will be storing all the bags back there for more room in the truck and would rather they not get wet..

Yes. I get maybe a cup of water in the bed after a automatic wash, more at a DIY wash.

In a couple wipers on full blast, slow down to see type heavy rains there’s some water in the bed but nothing much. It’s not water tight, but hard side luggage laid down on the hard side should be fine. There’s no puddles but there is water.

After a month, I’m really happy with the Tyger. We went camping this weekend and had a good Sierra thunderstorm. We holed up in the tent, and the truck sat outside and no water got in the bed. Not much of a test, I know, but our rainy season hasn’t started. By the way, I had a few soft things like sleeping bags and duffel bags sticking up a few inches above the bedsides, and the tonneau cover cinched down nice and tight, without feeling strained. Worked out well!

I have this on my truck. Just put it on over weekend. I do not have seals anywhere but I have it further forward in the truck bed. However it has the spots that you have fully exposed. Did you come up with a way to seal it up? Where does water come in? I took a screenshot of your pics to show the spot I’m talking about. It’s on both sides of head truck bed rail.
