I have been trying to decide what to do I finally decided to go with the tyger armor side steps. I don’t rock enough to warrant sliders, but I like that fact that they will hold 500 lbs. that is me plus kayak gear and everything else.

I have heard of no issues with firms that but if I connect mine (both sides) the center holes don’t line up. Anyone had this experience and what did you do to fix it.

    Thank you-

    I like mine alot.

You probably already did this, but you did leave the bolts loose right?

The set I had one my frontier was discounted because the jig was wrong. I used a deadblow and a block of wood to knock it where it needed to be.

I had a similar issue with a set of predator steps I bought used a bit ago. Similarly to yours the center holes on the drivers side step were a little off. A few thwacks with a 4lb dead blow solved that.

That is what I am thinking. I Hal all bolts lose. Both rails are identical with how far they are off. I know it can be nudged with some weight. Just not sure I should.

You could always get in contact with the vendor you bought them through. Maybe they’ll send you another set. Or you could try to take a reaming bit to the holes.

I have the same ones and they lined up perfectly (lucky I guess). Do you have the left/right correct?

So I went back out and did it all over again but may have cross threaded one of the screws so I am 1 bolt shy- but that won’t make a difference till I get to the shop on Monday and tap the first few threads.

I went a different round rather than a BFH! I took a ratchet strap and hooked it to the rear axle and pulled a little. It worked- but now I need to take it all apart and lok tite them in. Wanted to make sure everything got together. No Picts since it is late and cold. But it seems like everything I but has problems. Most of the threads I have a read all over 6 bolts 20 min a side. Not me. Builds chatacter
