    You wouldn't thread the bolt into anything, you'd put a nut on the other side.

    As long as you are okay with the fact that the Tyger stuff discussed here is for looks and to be used as a step, nothing more. It is not to be relied on for protection. If you want that you want rock sliders. They aren't much more.

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Our bolt on sliders are not in that price range they start at $525 plus freight but are a true bolt on rock slider.
    The bars in the OP should not be considered as a slider or protection in anyway other then door dings. You my think it's not doing anything but you are transferring all the force to the body. Over time or a hard hit will cause body damage. They are good for someone that's looking for a cheap way to get that slider look but they should never contact the ground.

    just received a set of these,, 234.00...ordered sunday am... got them today... i am impressed,, they are heavy duty, they look awesome, the finish in very cool looking, will be installing them tomorrow morning........

    If they work for your needs then go for them,I want true sliders but by the time you get them powder coated and shipped there 700-1000 so that's not a option for me right now

    You had them on for a couple days and you're talking about a 0.8 MPG difference....there is no chance that your conditions have been controlled enough to claim precision down to that level. Record a month or two without and a month or two with driving the same routes and compare and maybe you'll have some useful conclusions.

    You are correct. Sliders are twice as much and often times need to be welded on. These are perfect for moderate protection. I have seen these take dents from tree stumps that would have trashed rocker panels. Ignor the trolls and haters.
