My stock drop in shocks look like little toys compared to these bad boys haha.

Weld looks rough from afar, but it is just fine. I had ground all the flux slag balls off that was eft by my wire.

Shackle at spring mounting point sits only an inch closer to the frame... It's something a little lower I guess but not by much-- that only equates to half an inch lower in lift. Not sure if there is any performance gain from this either.

    But well find out!

I'm sure without a doubt the All Pro Expo pack will most likely offer better offroad performance than the Dakars with the extra leaf added, but it was interesting looking at them both side by side.

They both have roughly 8.5" of travel until negative. The Dakars are more of a consistent swoop while th Expo pack goes from subtle arch at the ends to more aggressive arch in the middle. Dakars obviously have an overload leaf.

I'm really curious to know how this all works out. I know at full droop under axle weight to full bump, there is at minimum 12" suspension traveled to be offered.

Looking at the All Pro pack with the new shock and hydro setup in mind- with the vehicle on the springs with the bed it squatted down a little. Without a doubt...bare minimum I can for sure say right now is I am looking at LEAST 6" of up travel until final bump stage.

On the Dakars, it's right about 4" until it smacks the bump which doesn't compress much.

This is going to be a big win. I'm pretty happy with how this is coming out.

I got sidetracked with other stuff--so I'm hoping to finish the other shackle then plate and box the frame next Saturday, and then do the Tundra axle Sunday and maybe setup the bumps. Shock hoop will probably come two weeks from now.

Since a couple people on IG are asking what part numbers I'm using to delete the BPV and use a manual valve.

This is what I got and am confident will work. Haven't thought about how to cap the return line off yet- I'm sure I can find a cap or something though.

You will like that unit once installed.
I started my adjustment with it completely topped out, working it until I got to where I liked the brake response.
To end up where I did, bottom it out, then go counter clockwise 1 complete turn, then 3/8th's of an inch more, if that makes sense.

I follow- I will use your setup as a base tune and then do some hard stops from there and see how I like it. I am actually looking forward to this little thing!

But man, I am such a moron. Here I am thinking I will be putting it in place of the BPV back there...when this obviously makes WAAY more sense to have it right in front of you under the hood hahahah! Thanks for the pic!!!

@atvlifestyle has it in back and I'm not 100% on where I'll put it.

Front seems like it'd be the most optimal easy access place for sure.

What are you going to do then for a junction in the rear? Between the hardline at the frame and the extended line to the axle?

If you remove the front DS rear splash guard, you'll see a 'block' with a brake line from the MC... then 2 lines exit and head back to the OEM LSPV area on the frame.
What I did was pick a line to use from the OEM LSPV, bent it to fit into the bracket that the extended brake line clips in to.
From the Wilwood unit, I purchased a brake line, cut/ bent it to fit down to the OEM 'block'.
    Bleed brakes and you're good.
    The brakes are awesome.

I failed to mention that I do have the 231mm Tundra brake upgrade and rear discs all while retaining the OEM MC.

Good luck Tyler, build is looking great.

How many pistons in the rear? I'm interested to see how my pedal feels - I have a bigger MC which tends to fair poorly with the Tundra brake upgrade so I kept the stock style brakes in consideration of using single piston disks in the rear.

The kit is from Diamond which they say uses '03-'16 Forerunner discs.
Nothing is said in their kit but I'm thinking they are single piston calipers based on the size.

Here is a 'clean' shot before all of this Wuhan virus crap!
Damnit... I just realized my truck is filthy and been sitting for close to 2 months.

    Tyler,
Does your truck have an ABS system?

Nope! My truck is as bare bones basic as it gets.

I really want to do a disc brake setup in the rear as my drums like to plug up with mud and not really work. With all this going on with the build, I really cannot justify the cost of the conversion when 90% of the time the drums work fine for my application. That may change with the trucks new capabilities coming soon though... haha.

Been really wanting to, but I am at the point right now where there physically not enough time in he day :(

I still need to do the other shackle, then box and plate the frame still so I can get my bed put back on...the front yard looks like a junk yard with my shell and bed laying on the lawn lol.
