No problem, your ahead of the game then! It handles the thrust of the helicut tcase gears and no fill slot prevents the ball bearings from coming out and grenading.
Looking good, and see alot of the same great parts being used. Will be watching this

Have the same dual case crossmember, its a great platform. Currently in the works of trying to decrease the slope in the back of it. Once you get it on you'l understand what I mean!

You’re gonna love the crawler. Definitely take up @slander on his offer for pointers. His check list helped me so much. Lots of little things you’d never think of.

For those of you that aren't on my IG and have not seen it yet... I found a killer deal on this baby and swooped her up! She's going to be the new daily 80 mile commuter and I won't have any issues with my truck down for the drivetrain conversion!

Those are sweet! They have about 100 more horsepower than this one.

All I can say is WOW! It is some much easier to drive this on the highway. No more thinking about what rpm my motor is at and which highway lane I'm in. No more wandering into other lanes or white knuckle grip on the steering wheel lol.

Car is in perfect shape, just needs the trans torque converter lockup solenoid changed which I already got.

Finished detailing it and after many hours this is how she turned out! It's gorgeous!

    A few tweaks
FYI, myself and at least one other forum member had trouble with these over the past year. Center of the flywheel was too small to fit on the crank!

Hopefully not the case with yours, but in case it does not go on easily you will know what the issue is!

Great build, I'm a sucker for a standard cab!

No Kidding?! Man, if it isn't one thing it is another...thank you for the heads up!! I'll be cautious on the install. Worst case scenario- I can run down to Autozone and grab an off the shelf Duracrap one.

I have everything I need at this point. My game plan is to start assembling stuff in a week or two and I'll take lots of photos! I am extremely excited to actually have a 4 wheel drive truck finally and with a crawler transmission to top the cake!!

Sweet build! I have a question, are you sticking with IFS or are you going to SAS? I am interested in dual casing my truck but was wondering if it was worth it with IFS. If you do stick with IFS, how do you plan on fitting 37" tires on without SASing? I'm excited to see the build!

There are actually quite a few dual case IFS builds on here and many other forums. In fact, I'd argue that you would probably be less likely to break IFS parts dual cased than you would you would with just stock case reduction due to the amount of control you gain. Obviously this is completely situation dependent, but I am talking from a rock crawling point of view. No doubt that SAS is stronger in every shape and size- but for my use and time I really don't have any interest in SAS.

I am going to MCM Long Travel my front, which means I don't have to cut nearly as much out of the firewall. I have a 1" body lift as well. That being said, take a look at how my 35" tires fit perfectly within the flares. The lip of the flare is about 1.5 inches. The radius of a 37" tire is just an inch bigger than a 35" tire is. If I cut the lip out they should fit just as tightly.

I am torn on the rear end...I think 3 linking is just going to be way too much cost and work for my use. I am beginning to lean toward the All Pro heavy duty leaf pack. For absolute sure I am doing long travel in the front. No matter how I spin it, I will definitely end up with a wider 2nd gen rear axle to match the front width.

Browsed IS350’s and realized they are significantly out of the budget.

Duals are hands down a better mod than a solid axle swap and will make a manual IFS truck way more capable than a solid axle.

OP, I’d be careful going to a 37 on first gen IFS. CV’s start to break pretty easy on 35’s, a 7.5” R&P isn’t much beef, and the stock steering rack will struggle to turn them.

^^ The trick is to find a beautiful good clean IS250 with a transmission problem that no one wants to buy. Only pay 3500 for it, and find out it's merely a $70 torque converter lockup solenoid conveniently at the bottom of the transmission pan. Easy win for me!! Otherwise I would have ended up with a Corolla as a daily. I got soo lucky on this one.

37s on first gen IFS: Challenge accepted! Will run the 35s for a while and might be really happy with them- we'll see.

Sounds like you have a plan! I really like the MCM long travel kit. When I have the funds it'll be the one I purchase. I also want to run 37's so I'm really curious to see how yours turns out.

Yea I ran into that. Ended up having to go to Orielly's and pickup a "PowerTorque" flywheel.
