    So uhm, yeah...!

I'd like to run chromoly axle shafts. For some reason it seems like there is something with 04 to 06 axles compared to 00 to 03. Anyone familiar with first gen Tundra axle shafts?

I believe this follows the same as Tacoma's, the years different as far as having abs vs not having abs. Typically non abs shafts are available is chromo.

That is what I was thinking as well. I will send out an email to Nitro Gear and see what they say.

I could be way off here, but I am hoping I can just run the chromo shaft and standard non-abs seals. I'll let you all know!

Found this off another forum and is exactly what I was thinking after seeing the Tundra axle and recalling when I did the bearings/seals on my Tacoma axle. I am just going to order up Nitro chromo shafts and a whole bearing and seal kit and see if this works out.

Alright guys, the countdown is beginning. In three or four weeks weeks I am probably going to take a Thursday/Friday off from work and have the weekend as well to do EVERYTHING.

Front & Rear Suspension one or two days.
    Install transmission the following day.
Install clutch and tie in remaining transmission stuff after.

Fingers crossed this all works out.

Awaiting seller response on a pair of 16" piggy back 2.5 Kings! After a lot of thought about my use- going with the All Pro Expo leaf spring pack in the rear, outboarding the rear shocks from the frame (similar to second gen Taco setup since I now have a wide axle) and calling it done after adding hydo bumps to all corners.

    Boom! That escalated quickly.

Guys I am having a hard time finding any conclusive data and no luck from All Pro and their wonderful shitty customer service I always hear about...

Their Expo heavy duty pack- from full bump (whatever their limit is) to full droop...am I looking about 14" of straight up and down travel here? I saw someone running some 14" shocks with this pack on the forum (cannot remember who) but not sure if this pack is actually giving up 14" of reliable usable travel.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Okay guys- I talked to Robert Otwell who was running an expo pack years ago before he 4-linked his truck. He is the one I got the MCM Long travel kit through as well.

He was saying that his pack was pushing maybe 11-12" of straight travel vertical up and down.

One thing I know is that I will be mounting my shocks outboard from the frame. The Kings I couldn't pass a deal on are 16" stroke. Without a doubt they are larger than needed, but I know with the fulcrum of an axle flexing (I think I am using the right word describing that) I know I will rack definitely than 12" at full tuck one side and full droop on the other. Maybe closer to 14? We'll find some conclusive numbers once my expo pack arrives.

My goal is to get these shocks out as far out as possible and keep them as vertical as possible but still allow full flex without hitting the tires.

Here is a shot of Robert's truck flexing with the expo pack. What I am getting at during flexing is the same as a ratchet with a long handle. Your hand moves half a circle which may be several inches, but that only equates to just a couple inches of movement off the center.

Word from Matt to Robert this morning- Matt was waiting on brake lines to come in for the kit. I am really hoping it is out by now...that was the one hold up before him sending it off I guess...

Expo pack ordered earlier this morning.

BUNCH of shock tabs, hoops, u-bolt flip pieces, limit straps, diff armor, etc., ordered from Ruffstuff right now. Got my frame plates from Front Range offroad.

Guys, I am so stoked! All this happened so fast. I am in a good position to take a week off from work once all this comes in too. This is gonna be siiiick!!!!!

Nahh. Running flareless now- just easier that way. I actually put my Bushwackers for sale on offer up.

Why'd you cut so high up on the fender? You going bigger than 35's?

Going either 37s or 38s. I just wanted to go big and have the room to tuck tires once the new parts come in and not have to deal with re-cutting the fenders. I had nothing else to do today as I am waiting on parts... Was going off of photos of George Otwell's crawler when he had a similar LT set up on the front end many years ago. I was looking at this old pic for reference.
