Tyme_and_Place 16' Build Thread

Hello fellow Taco lovers,

I'm five days into the ownership of my very first Tacoma (although I've owned six Toyota pickups in just about every pre-taco variation thus far) and I'm excited about taking this already capable platform and creating an "expedition" rig prepared for road trips with the family (including two large dogs) around the country. Here's the rundown of how I've optioned out the truck and the build as it progresses:

2016-03-16 Delivery Day!

2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road Double cab short bed V6-Auto
Manetic Grey Metalic - Graphite with Gunmetal
Premium & Tech Package (JBL, Qi, Nav, BSM, PA, heated mirrors, etc..)
Tow-Package
Tonneau Cover

Now for the fun part, PARTS! I'm currently waiting on the delivery of a set of 16x8 SCS F5's in Matte Bronze wrapped in 265/75R16 BFG T/A KO2's. Next, Leer 100xr canopy, Allpro sliders, PelfreyBilt skids, and ("insert company here") front bumper. As these parts are installed I'll update the thread.

the SCS F5's are quite nice

 

I agree, although I'm a bit concerned on how the Matte bronze will look on MGM. I figured it's easier to make a bronze wheel black then it is to make a black wheel bronze, so we'll see how it goes.

Update:
2016-7-25 Second set of F5s installed (the first set was mangled by the installer). Love the look and color. Next, armor to protect her from awful Seattle drivers (and some wilderness). Cmon All-pro, release a front bumper already!!
