Of course my 02 dipstick says Dex III
    Will the T-IV work?
    Is Toyota Type-IV semi synthetic?

Why use T-IV if the owners manual requires DEX? On the 02 I think they still take a DEX III? Am I right?

I would use MOBIL 1 full synthetic Auto fluid in a DEX III required truck Yay to that and cheaper than T-IV too.

X2, stick with the dexron 2/3. You don't have to buy Toyotas fluid, any brand will do, just stick with the manufacturers recommendation.
