Hey guys, I finally upgraded and bought my dream truck. I went from a 1985 Toyota Pickup to a 2012 Tacoma TRD MT 4x4. Now I cant make up my mind... I'm thinking I want a 3in lift on 33s but I'm nervous I will regret not going bigger... I can't make up my mind. Can you tell much of a difference with a 3in? I have seen some great 3in and then some I can't even tell they lifted it... Well in pictures atleast... Any suggestions?

Congrats! Nice truck! I think the three inch lift with 285s is the perfect look for a taco. IMO the bigger tires are what make it look/feel quite a bit bigger than stock. It is definitely noticably bigger after a 3 inch lift with 33 inch tires. I can't imagine anybody seeing my truck in person and thinking it was stock. Pics just don't do them justice.

3 inch lifts are noticeable for sure. It's hard to tell sometimes in photos because the proportion doesn't change much when you throw new tires on after the lift is installed. A 3" on 285s has very similar proportion in picture to a stock height truck IMO.

Welcome to TW! Congrats on the new truck and props for picking the 6 speed manual.

I hope you got a good price for your '85. Based off what I hear from my hardcore off road buddies that's the most sought after year, first year for fuel injections and the last year with the SAS.

Thank y'all!!! Y'all really helped and the pictures are great too. I'm going with the 3in on 33in falken Rocky Mt... I'll definitely post him on here when it's done hopefully in the next week.

@Noahs2015Taco it took me 8 months to find a MT with everything I wanted. I have an issue trusting AT. Plus MT are fun to drive. I couldn't part with blue, don't have the heart to sell her, but everything has a price! Lol. It's also super rare to find that truck stock. I've had people stop me in traffic asking me how much... I always say 10k.
