Looking for the length of U-bolt that I will need to attach my old AAL on to my new leaf spring pack. Just got the recall done and dealership gave my truck back without the AAL on, so I need to order a new one to be able to add the AAl back.

    Thanks

Could you order really long ones and cut off the excess?

I don't see why that would be a problem. If you go that route my advice is before you cut them run the nuts down the threads below where you cut and after the cut is made file any shavings left behind and then back the nuts all the way off. This will help prevent you from creating a cross thread situation and not being able to put the nuts back on. that's pretty much the process that's used when cutting a piece of all thread rod. I recommend doing this with a cutoff wheel on a 4" angle grinder or a chop saw with a steel cutting disc as opposed to a sawzall

FWIW I used 7.5" bolts for my OME Dakars and those are 5 plus 2 overloads so probably about the same thickness as factory plus AAL.

I got the ubolt flip kit from toytec when I did my lift with the one dakars. I hate the u bolts There is only about 1-2 threads sticking out from the nut. I need to get some longer ones and redo mine.
