U-Bolt Trimming?

    A cut off wheel on a grinder will be shitloads easier than using a hacksaw and a bit easier than using a sawzall.

    Wear some glasses, gloves, and long sleeves if you feel like taking care of your skin and eyes.

    yep..
    They will come off fine with no deburring if/whenever you decide to remove. An old trick is to thread a nut onto something before you cut it. Backing the nut off cleans the threads up, no need for a die. In this case, your nut is already there.

    One good trip off-road and the threads will likely get damaged anyways. They still come off the same.

    Wow, gotta love online, what is a simple job of taking an angle grinder to 8 bolt ends that would take no more than 5 minutes has turned into two pages of kits and deburring and retapping and flipping. In the time you spent posting this you could be done already. I will give you the best advice yet since you're already under the truck mucking with the axle, just install a set of Volvo Portal axles while you're down there.
