I'm talking about abuse. Jumping the truck, doing burnouts in 4LO at max RPM, etc..

The warranty is supposed to cover engineering defects that were considered when the truck was designed. Jumping your taco over a ravine or plowing through a river at 40mph isn't in the engineering considerations of ANY production passenger vehicle.

Lol so you think that a lot of people are doing that and getting it fixed by warranty. I'm sure if that was the case they could figure it out. They are not idiots

no jumping or any kind of abuse was done to the truck.. it is a clearly a engineering defect like you mentioned. perhaps that's why the warranty is only 3 years long compared to other manufactures that offers 5 year warranty... well as long as I am covered under warranty, I am going to take advantage of it.

I'm sure there are cases that slip by. People will pull the most pitiful stunts to not have to pay for their own mistakes.

But the point here is, if this is happening and Toyota keeps doing warranty repairs on issues that are purely owner-induced (through usage that is not covered by the intended design of the vehicle) then we're ALL paying more in the long run.

Oh I understand what you're saying. Good point. Yea but I'm sure they know designing a truck like this will involve more of that kind of usage. That's why they build these trucks so well and in the end we get a better truck. That's why these trucks are so expensive and hold value so well. I can only imagine the things ford goes through with trucks like the raptor and their warranty...
