U-joint failure

    You were very fortunate to not have failure on the trip.

    Curious...what type of U-joint you chose. No maintenance (no zerk), zerk in the spider or zerk in the cap.

    I replaced the U-joints and CB this past fall. I stayed with the grease types, but went with the zerk in the cap. Very easy to attach a grease gun, better access than the zerk on the spider.

    Have a family member check it after you paid for them too be lubed.
