Is the preferred Grease type Lithium Based NLGI #2?
And will #1.5 or #1 work?

I've been hearing a different noise lately when I hit 55-65 mph.
Almost sounds like tire noise but a lower "Roar / Whine"
You can only hear it when you apply the gas and inside the cab.
You can not hear it at all with the windows down. Wind noise drowns it out eaisly.

I don't think I've ever had the u-joints greased since 2010 or in 45,000 miles.
I seriously doubt Firestone does it when I get the oil changed.
The sound might just be the tires, I finally have over 15,000 miles on the DynaPro ATM tires but you can't even tell it?

I use Red n Tacky every 5k. Wouldn't bet on Firestone doing it, but ask 'em next time, maybe they will. Easy job to do yourself though.

I have new ATMs, no noticeable road noise. Hope is doesn't start with age, would think as a tire wears down noise would decrease as tread wears...

Love the ATM Tires. Best upgrade I've done so far.
Hope the price doesn't go up On them. Best value tire I found.
But I've found with other tires noise increased with wear.
As for the grease , I plan to do it myself soon.

For the grease is really doesn't matter so long as its fresh... I do mine every oil change while I'm under the truck letting oil drain.

I would think it is fine. I don't feel any pulling left or right.
I see no sign of wear on the tires to indicate the alignment is off.

I don't know. Hope hope not. But it's not uncommon to see them go before 100,000 miles. I don't hear the noise when I turn left or right.
Which is usually the sign of a bad wheel bearing.
I only hear it between 55-70 mph. And only when press the throttle.
Let off the throttle and the noise is gone.

Running them at 34 psi and I have about 21,000 miles on them.
I rotate them every 6,500-7,500 miles. Between every other oil change.
I have free lifetime rotate, so I use.

I don't know how much mine have wore. But not much that I can tell.
I figured they would get louder after some wear. So that's ok. I haven't done any heavy off road trails with them. But they do seem to clear tread well. Only down side I found so far is they do pick up small rocks pretty easy. But I knew that going into it. It's part of having bigger lug tires.
