I have a 2009 Tacoma access cab with the 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed stick. Rear wheel drive only.
I can't get a clear answer as to what U Joints I need for my 2 peice axle.
Does anyone know what Ujoints I need? Maybe with some SPICER part numbers?
    I'd be very grateful

You can also use the greasable ones, both will fit. I recommend going this route so you can more easily maintain them. They will last much longer than their sealed counterparts in my past experience.

    I just went with some Spicer 5213X (5-213X) one’s bc I couldn’t find the 5-1330-x ones I usually use.

I used these. Front and back are easy, middle is a bitch. In retrospect I wish I'd paid a little money for a shop to do them if I brought it in.

I probably will just carry it into a shop with the new parts.
My joints are still fine. But the things are like 13 years old

    I say, don’t fix what’s not broke?
But that’s probably because I’ve broke stuff that didn’t need fixed.

yes that too. Age has little to do with reliability and service life of the ujoints. Mileage, environment, and PM history are key.

I'm currently working part time at a place where I get a giant discount on auto parts.
I want to get the parts while I can. And use them whenever.
I need three of the same Spicer U joints?

If you have a two-piece shaft, you likely have a center bearing which I would also replace. If those parts have 150K+, I would replace them. I replaced mine with Spicer non-greasable.

    I bought the Spicer joints.
And the center support bearing.(Precision brand) All four parts were just under $95. I got a good discount.
I live in south Florida and my Taco has about 80k. It has larger than stock wheels and tires and does no towing, etc.
It's been extremely reliable. And I'm big on proactive maintenance.
I also bought all new radiator hoses, belt, tensioner and idler pulleys. And some Toyota PINK coolant.
    They were also all original.
    Thanks for the assistance

You can get your spicer u-joints & spicer center bearing on rockauto or summit racing. They will be sold under Dana. If you are the type of person that likes to set it and forget it then get the non-greasable u-joints. Otherwise get greasable and grease it at every oil change.

    Dana 51330x non-greasable.
    Dana 513301x greasable.
    Dana 5002334 Center bearing.

These are the same parts as what you get at toyota but with out the toyota price.

I would also recommend to buy an extra set of snap rings. I ended up needing thinner rings than the ones that came in the packaging and these ended up working for me.

@ZEROPILOT I should have mentioned to stick with OEM/Dana/Spicer on the center bearings. I tried two different aftermarket center bearings and both barely lasted 20K. Neither were Precision; hopefully, that is a better aftermarket brand. They may be the same company that makes, or used to make, front wheel bearings for 4x4 models and they gave me good service life.
