Interesting......I tried to rotate the front shaft while the truck was in 2WD.

Anyhow, you may need to rotate the front shaft a bit.

you push the needle dispenser into the zirk fitting while pumping the grease gun. It will force grease into the fitting. IF the grease is dry in the joint then it can be very hard to force the new grease in and force the old grease out.

the lock and lube has made my life 100% easier. I do alot of greasing on machines I maintain and it is cleaner and much easier as you don't have to worry about getting the gun onto the zirk at the perfect angle for the grease to go into the zirk. It will lock into place and stay until you release it. The cheaper brands can be problematic but the one I listed is very good and works great. For a while I was reluctant to pull the trigger on the purchase but it ended up being the best $30 I ever spent. Be sure and get the LocknLube brand if you decide to get one or you may be disappointed.

I’ve had trouble getting the grease in with the needle and always make a mess. I’ll try it again! Thanks!

Yeah it can be a pain holding that needle at just the right angle and pressed hard enough in the zirk while pumping the gun at the same time. It took me some time on the front 2 zirks to get the grease to flow. One reason I believe is because I don't think the front 2 zirks had ever been greased because on my truck they couldn't be accessed with a normal grease gun. Grease was old and hard. I cleaned them the best I could with some spray brake cleaner and just kept trying until I finally was able to get them to accept some grease.
