Hey ya'll, about to install 5100s at the 1.1'' setting on stock UCAs, I am trying to stuff 275's in there -10 offset and was told by a few it will work with some trimming / heating and pulling up the caster. Since I'm getting an alignment done as well, can anyone give me base set of numbers to throw at the alignment tech Friday, I think I read caster as much as possible 2+, but not sure what my limit will be with stock UCAs. Thanks in advance!

Lift: 5100 all around, stock rear, 1.1'' setting front (already measure rake and should be level)
    Tires: 275/70r17 Falkens
    Wheels: Volk TE37xt Mspec 17x8.5 -10 offset

Not sure you will have enough lift to clear those tires and wheels without a lot of cutting in the inner wheel well. A beefy 265/70-17 might have been a better fit in MHO.

I have the Toyota TRD lift which is 2”, with 17”x 8” wide Konig 6 shooters and 285/70-17 Toyo AT3’s. Dealership removed the front air dam, and did a super clean trim of the front of the wheel well, like can’t even tell it’s so clean.

in terms of alignment specs you want around 2.4 caster, 0 camber and factory toe from my experience. All of these should be achievable with the stock upper control arms and a tech who isn’t lazy.

I know trust me been down the rabbit hole of what will clear or not, some saying trimming even with 265s, some say fit stock suspension, some say they got 275's to fit on stock or a 1.1'' lift, I'm this close to saying f-it and keeping the truck stock with stock tires or just going up an inch and 265/70r17. Thanks!

Every truck is different. Some can run a 265-70-17 and not rub. Others will. Same lift and rims.

my truck is 1.5” lifted and I rub on the left side, not the right side. Alignment is perfect.

it’s a truck to truck issue. Your only option is to send it.
Lifting a truck won’t let you run bigger tires necessarily. It’s still going to hit the bumper or mudflaps no matter how high you go.

My previous 2017 had the Toytec Boss lift with 265/70-17 Duratrac tires on 8.5” wide wheels with 4.5” backspacing (poked out a bit) and I got light rubbing backing up at times. With my 2022 I went with wheels a half inch slimmer with approximately the same amount of lift, and no rub.

both times I kept the mud flaps with a bit of trimming.

I think a lot of it comes down to how much poke you want on your wheels and tires. I’ve gone from a 9” wide wheel with 4.5” BS on my 07, which rubbed a lot, to 8.5” wide with 4.5” BS which rubbed a smidge, and I find with my 2022 8” wide with 4.5” BS is about perfect.

I am a aware, not my first rodeo, have stuffed 265/75s, 285/70r17s, etc on a few of my 13 Tacomas, was just seeking some more input before I steer a certain direction, currently have 3 different tire sizes sitting in my garage to be mounted, lol, thanks!
